Fear of God

Beloved of All
### year old stalking my FB She solo ### Lord these two women are Facebook stalking me , if they are in sexual relationship with an adult male I pray jail time.

We hear your heart regarding the fear of God and the distress you feel about being watched or stalked on Facebook, and we join you in bringing this before the Lord together in Jesus' name.

The fear of God is a good and necessary thing, for Proverbs 9:10 says The fear of Yahweh is the beginning of wisdom. The knowledge of the Holy One is understanding. And Proverbs 1:7 says The fear of Yahweh is the beginning of knowledge. We pray that this fear would grow in you and in those you are concerned about, not as a tormenting dread, for 1 John 4:18 tells us that perfect love casts out fear, but as a reverent awe that leads to wisdom, repentance, and obedience. It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God as Hebrews 10:31 reminds us, and we all need His mercy.

We also want to gently rebuke and correct the way you prayed concerning these two women. You asked that if they are in a sexual relationship with an adult male that they would receive jail time. We understand feeling violated and wanting justice, but we must not pray vindictively or ask God to punish people out of anger or a desire for revenge. Romans 12:19 says Don't seek revenge yourselves, beloved, but give place to God's wrath. For it is written, Vengeance belongs to me, I will repay, says the Lord. And Romans 12:17 says Render to no one evil for evil. If these women are sinning, our first prayer should be for their repentance and salvation, not their imprisonment. We are commanded by Jesus in Matthew 5:44, But I tell you, love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who mistreat you and persecute you.

If they are indeed in a sexual relationship outside of biblical marriage, we must call it what Scripture calls it. God ordained marriage as a lifelong covenant between one man and one woman, and any sexual intimacy outside of that marriage is fornication if neither is married, or adultery if one is married to another. Hebrews 13:4 says Let marriage be held in honor among all, and let the bed be undefiled, but God will judge the sexually immoral and adulterers. And 1 Corinthians 6:18 says Flee sexual immorality. Every sin that a man does is outside the body, but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body. This sin does not automatically call for jail time under the law, though it does call for repentance before God, and we should pray that they would turn from it and pursue purity and, if God wills, a godly marriage that honors Him. If there is actual illegal activity, such as abuse or a crime, then lawful authorities should be involved, for Romans 13:4 says the governing authority is a servant of God to execute wrath on the wrongdoer, but we do not pray for jail as a blanket punishment for immorality.

Concerning feeling stalked, we pray for your peace and protection and for wisdom to set proper boundaries. It is right to guard your heart and your space, to use the tools available to block or limit contact, and to entrust yourself to God who sees all. Psalm 34:18 says Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit.

We also noticed you said Lord but did not mention Jesus Christ in your request. We want to lovingly remind you that it is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father. John 14:6 says Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. And Acts 4:12 says There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved. It is by believing in Jesus, that He died for our sins and rose again, that we are forgiven and can come boldly in prayer.

We pray together now.

Father in heaven, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ Your Son. We ask that You would deepen a holy and reverent fear of You in each of us, that we would walk in wisdom and turn from sin. Lord, we lift up this situation with Facebook and the feeling of being stalked. We ask for Your protection, for peace that surpasses understanding, and for wisdom to set godly boundaries. We pray for these two women, that if they do not know You, they would come to repentance and faith in Jesus, that any sexual immorality would be brought into the light and forsaken, and that they would pursue purity and godly marriages if it is Your will for them. Forgive us for any desire for revenge and teach us to love our enemies and to leave justice in Your hands. Cleanse our hearts from vindictiveness and fill us with mercy as You have shown mercy to us. We ask all this in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, amen.

Thank you for reaching out and telling us what is weighing on you. Feeling watched on Facebook can leave you on edge, and it makes sense you would want peace and safety online.

We hear both the fear you named and your desire for justice to be done. We are praying with you for protection and for wisdom to know how to handle what you are seeing.

One idea that helps many people when they feel intruded upon is to think of boundaries as property lines for our lives, what we are responsible for and what we need to protect, including our time, attention and online space. Strengthening those lines can bring some calm even when we cannot control what others do.

A couple of practical steps you might consider are to review your Facebook privacy settings and limit who can see your posts, use the block or restrict tools if someone's presence feels intrusive, and keep a simple record if anything feels threatening. It can also help to step away for a little while and talk it through with a trusted pastor or friend who knows you, so you are not carrying this alone.

We are with you in prayer.

Father, we bring our friend to You and ask for Your peace to guard their heart, for wisdom in each decision online, and for safety. Lead them to helpful support and let Your just and loving will be done. In Jesus' name, amen.

There is forgiveness with God, that He may be feared, and it is to that forgiveness you must first look when your heart is troubled by the fear of man.

Your distress at being watched and followed on Facebook has been heard, and it is right to bring your unease before the Lord, for He will fulfill the desire of them that fear Him, He also will hear their cry and will save them. Yet the fear that truly steadies the soul is not the dread of what others may do, but the reverent fear which flows from knowing that there is pardon with God through Jesus Christ, the Just for the unjust, that He might bring us to God.

You have prayed that if these two women are living in sexual sin with a man, God would send them to jail. Such a prayer does not reflect the mind of Christ. The Word teaches that sex belongs within the lifelong covenant of marriage between one man and one woman, and all that falls outside that covenant is sin before a holy God. But God does not call His people to pray for vengeance or for the imprisonment of those who sin in this way. Vengeance belongs to the Lord, and the law of the land is not given to punish every sin, though every sin will be judged by God. What we are called to pray for is far greater, that sinners would come to repentance and receive forgiveness, for there is forgiveness with Him, and that forgiveness is everlasting. He who is once forgiven in Christ is forgiven to all eternity.

It cannot be that you should cherish a desire for harm toward others while you yourself need the same mercy. If you have seen your own need of pardon, you will pray as one who has been pardoned. He not only forgave us at the first, but continues daily to forgive, and that perfect and divine forgiveness should make us ready to forgive and to seek the good of even those who trouble us. To pray for jail for a consensual sin is to ask God to do what He has not appointed the magistrate to do, and to ask Him to withhold what He delights to give, which is mercy to the chief of sinners who will turn to Christ.

Bring your case to the Lord in a different way. Pray that you may be delivered from all fear of man and filled with the fear of God which is born of pardoned sin. Pray that these women, if they are walking in sin, whether by harassment or by sexual immorality, may see their need of a Saviour and find that there is forgiveness with God through the blood of Christ alone, for there is salvation in no other. Pray for your own heart, that you may be kept in peace and wisdom, and that you may not be led to return evil for evil.

In practical things, act with quiet wisdom. Use the means God has given you to guard your peace. Make use of the blocks and boundaries that keep your private life from those who misuse it, withdraw from needless watching of their pages and from engagement that stirs further trouble, and seek the counsel of a mature and godly pastor or trusted believer who knows you and can advise you face to face. If you are truly threatened or harassed in a way that breaks the law, you may rightly seek the help of lawful authorities for that harassment itself, but do not seek to use the law as a sword against private sin. Leave judgment to God and to those He has appointed for public order.

May the Lord teach you from your youth as He taught David, and make you to declare His wondrous works. Hear this promise and rest upon it, there is forgiveness with Him that you may fear Him, love Him, and serve Him with a clean conscience.

Let us pray together. O God, You are He who blots out transgressions for Your own sake, we thank You that Jesus died the Just for the unjust to bring us to You. Grant to this troubled one a deep sense of pardoned sin, and so a holy fear and trust in You that casts out the fear of man. Guard this life from harm, give wisdom in all dealings with others, and turn the hearts of these women to Yourself, that they may repent of all sin and find mercy in Christ alone. Lead all of us to walk in purity as You have ordained, in the covenant of marriage where You have placed the gift of union, and keep us from every path that grieves You. We ask this not for our merit, but for Christ's sake, Amen.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

Your request has been heard, and your desire to honor the fear of God is right and good. Scripture teaches that the fear of God is the beginning of wisdom, and it is far more necessary than the fear of any person. We are told not to fear those who can harm the body but are not able to harm the soul, but rather to fear Him who is able to destroy both soul and body in hell. That holy fear does not make us anxious or vindictive, it makes us gentle, watchful over our own souls, and quick to turn from sin.

It is understandable to feel distressed when you believe you are being watched or harassed online. At the same time, the Lord calls us not to rejoice when others are punished as if we have been avenged, but to consider how we ourselves need mercy and how we may escape judgment through repentance. If the fear of earthly laws can restrain us from doing wrong, how much more should the remembrance of God's future judgment and His eternal kingdom train us to live with self control and love for what is good. God is long suffering, not because He overlooks sin, but so that sinners may have time to repent. If that patience is despised, judgment will indeed be more fearful, but while there is time, His desire is for repentance.

For that reason we do not pray for others to be jailed out of anger or a wish for revenge. Vengeance belongs to the Lord, and He has also appointed lawful courts and authorities to restrain evil and protect people. If you are experiencing stalking or harassment, it is wise to use the protections available to you, such as blocking and reporting on the platform, keeping a record of what has happened, and contacting local authorities if you feel threatened or unsafe, so that any matter of law can be handled in an orderly and just way.

We also hold to what Scripture teaches about salvation and about human relationships. Salvation is through Jesus Christ alone, and God's design for sexual intimacy and for living together is within the lifelong covenant of marriage between one man and one woman. Any sexual relationship outside of that covenant falls short of God's will, and we cannot ask God to bless or affirm what He calls sin. Instead we pray for all involved to come to repentance, to know the forgiveness found in Christ, and to walk in purity and holiness.

Let us pray together for you and for these women. Father, we ask in the name of Jesus Christ that You would give a true fear of You that leads to repentance and to life. Guard and give peace to the one who has brought this request, deliver from fear of man, and help to act with wisdom and calm. Bring conviction where there is sin, grant repentance and faith in Christ to all who need it, and turn hearts toward what is pure and right in Your sight. Where wrong has been done, let justice be done lawfully and without hatred, and let mercy triumph where repentance is found. Teach us all to seek Your kingdom, to turn from carnal desire and from vengeance, and to adorn ourselves with the unfading beauty of a life that pleases You. Amen.
