Fear anxiety loneliness

Natasha 2

Beloved of All
Please pray for me. I feel burden and emotional pain. My father died 1,5 year ago and my mother is in a hospital. I feel fear and anxiety. I was very close to my mother, i am single and without real friends, i fear that i will be alone and lonely.

We have heard your burden and we are lifting you up together before the Lord in Jesus' name. We grieve with you over the loss of your father a year and a half ago and we understand how heavy your heart must feel now with your mother in the hospital, feeling fear and anxiety and loneliness without close friends near you. You are not unseen and you are not forgotten by God.

The Lord draws especially near to those who are brokenhearted. Psalm 34:18 says Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit. Psalm 147:3 says He heals the broken in heart, and binds up their wounds. Matthew 11:28 invites us, Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest. Your emotional pain and burden are not too heavy for Him to carry.

We also hear your fear and anxiety about being alone. Scripture tells us that fear does not come from God, for 2 Timothy 1:7 says For God didn't give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control. Isaiah 41:10 says Don't you be afraid, for I am with you. Don't be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness. 1 Peter 5:7 tells us to cast all your worries on him, because he cares for you. And Philippians 4:6-7 says In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus. That peace is what we are asking God to pour over you now.

In your loneliness, we want to remind you that God Himself promises never to abandon His children. Hebrews 13:5 says I will in no way leave you, neither will I in any way forsake you. Deuteronomy 31:8 says Yahweh, it is he who goes before you. He will be with you. He will not fail you nor forsake you. Don't be afraid. Don't be dismayed. Psalm 68:6 says God sets the lonely in families. Even when we feel single and without real friends, He can place us in a family of believers who will walk with us. We encourage you to seek out a faithful Bible believing church where you can be known and loved and supported, and to share your burdens openly with fellow Christians who can pray with you and bear your burdens with you.

We noticed your request did not mention the name of Jesus, and we want to gently share why His name matters so much to us. It is only through Jesus that we have access to God. John 14:6 says Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. Acts 4:12 says There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved. If you have not yet put your trust in Him, we encourage you to confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, for Romans 10:9 says that you will be saved. It is by calling on the name of Jesus that we can bring every fear and grief directly to the Father and receive His forgiveness, His presence, and His eternal promise that we will never truly be alone.

We pray together for you now.

Father in heaven, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ and we lift up this dear one who is burdened with grief and fear and loneliness. Lord, You see the pain of losing a father and the worry over a mother in the hospital, and the ache of feeling single and without close friends. We ask You to heal the broken heart and bind up the wounds, to replace fear and anxiety with Your perfect peace that surpasses all understanding. Help this dear one to cast every worry on You, knowing You care deeply. We pray for healing and comfort for their mother, that You would lay Your hand upon her and restore her according to Your will, and give wisdom to those caring for her. Comfort this child who was so close to their mother, and calm the fear of being left alone. Remind them that You will never leave nor forsake them, that You go before them and uphold them with Your righteous right hand. Provide godly friends and a church family to surround them with love and encouragement, and if it is Your will, in time provide a godly spouse for marriage that honors You. Draw them close to Jesus, that they may know Him as Savior and find rest for their soul in Him. Let them feel Your nearness today and know that they are held and not forsaken. In Jesus' name we pray, amen.

We encourage you to keep pouring out your heart to the Lord in prayer each day, to read His Word and let His promises speak louder than your fears, and to reach out to a local church or a trusted pastor for fellowship and prayer in person. You are not alone, for the Lord is with you, and we are continuing to pray for you and for your mother.

We have been thinking of you as we read your note. Losing your father a year and a half ago and now having your mother in the hospital would leave anyone feeling shaken and stretched thin. It makes sense that fear and anxiety have risen up, and that loneliness feels close when you are single and without close friends nearby.

Grief does not follow a quick timeline, and worrying about a parent you love deeply can bring old sorrow back to the surface. Feeling alone in that does not mean you are forgotten, even when it feels that way.

We want to keep praying for you, for your mother's care and for comfort for you in these days. One small step that often helps when anxiety and loneliness press in is to not carry it entirely alone. Is there one person you could let in a little more this week, a pastor, a trusted person at church, a counselor, or even the chaplain at your mother's hospital? You do not need a large circle to begin, one steady, caring connection can make the burden lighter. If fear and anxiety are weighing heavily or affecting sleep, appetite or daily life, please consider reaching out to your doctor or a counselor alongside prayer, so someone can walk with you closely.

Father, in Jesus' name we lift our friend to You. You see the loss still carried and the worry for their mother now. Bring Your nearness in lonely hours, calm fearful thoughts, and provide caring people to stand with them. Give wisdom to the medical team caring for their mother and guide each next step. Amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

Your burden and sorrow have been heard, and you are not forgotten in your loneliness and fear. The loss of your father, the suffering of your mother in the hospital, and the ache of feeling single and without true friends is a heavy weight, and it is right to bring it before the Lord who sees and cares.

Know that the Savior Himself has entered into loneliness. He was left alone just when most, as Man, He needed human sympathy, His disciples forsook Him and fled, and He knows what it is to watch while others sleep and to be exceedingly sorrowful even unto death. There are sorrows of deep soul conflict that only He can fully understand, and He is not distant from your grief. He heard that mournful voice, What, could ye not watch with Me one hour, and He still draws near to the lonely and brokenhearted.

The Lord speaks to such a heart as yours with the same word He has spoken to His people in every age, Fear not. It is a plant which grows very plentifully in God's garden. Fear not, for I am with thee, be not dismayed, for I am thy God. Fear not, thou worm Jacob, I will help thee, saith the Lord. Fear not, for I have redeemed thee. This is not merely the preacher who cries Fear not, but Jesus Himself who whispers to His poor servant, Fear not.

Fear is weakening and it dishonors the strength of Him whose arm piled the heavens and sustains the pillars of the earth. And anxiety itself unfits you to meet the difficulty you face. To tell your sorrow only to yourself will bring no good, but to cast all your care upon Him, for He careth for you, will bring peace. If you are indeed trusting in the Lord Jesus Christ, play the man and let your faith overcome your fear. Labor to get rid of fear by trusting in promised strength, for He has said, I will help thee.

You fear that you will be alone and lonely. Remember that though all men may forsake you, yet the Lord has promised never to leave nor forsake His own. Perfect love casteth out fear, for fear hath torment, and to look unto Jesus in firm faith is the way to be delivered from bondage to fear, even the fear of loss and of death itself. He gives not only daily bread for the body, but spiritual food to live upon till you get to Heaven.

We pray for you now.

O Lord our God, look in mercy upon this grieving and anxious heart. Thou hast seen the loss of a father and the suffering of a mother, and Thou knowest the pain of loneliness and the fear of being alone. Speak Thy Fear not to this soul. Help this dear one to cast every care upon Thee, who carest for Thy children. Grant comfort in mourning, peace in anxiety, and the felt presence of Christ who was Himself left alone that we might never be truly alone. Sustain the mother in the hospital according to Thy will, and provide for this lonely one the comfort of Thy Spirit and the fellowship of Thy people, that faith may grow and fear may be chased away. Bring this heart to rest in the forgiveness and love that is in Christ Jesus, and put Thy holy fear and reverence within, that there may be trust and hope for days to come. In the name of Jesus our Redeemer we ask it. Amen.

Continue to seek the Lord in His Word and in prayer, and seek not to walk alone but to be joined to a faithful local church where you may be known and loved and bear burdens together with the people of God. He who has helped thee hitherto will help thee all thy journey through.
