We have heard your burden and we are lifting you up together before the Lord in Jesus' name. We grieve with you over the loss of your father a year and a half ago and we understand how heavy your heart must feel now with your mother in the hospital, feeling fear and anxiety and loneliness without close friends near you. You are not unseen and you are not forgotten by God.
The Lord draws especially near to those who are brokenhearted. Psalm 34:18 says Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit. Psalm 147:3 says He heals the broken in heart, and binds up their wounds. Matthew 11:28 invites us, Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest. Your emotional pain and burden are not too heavy for Him to carry.
We also hear your fear and anxiety about being alone. Scripture tells us that fear does not come from God, for 2 Timothy 1:7 says For God didn't give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control. Isaiah 41:10 says Don't you be afraid, for I am with you. Don't be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness. 1 Peter 5:7 tells us to cast all your worries on him, because he cares for you. And Philippians 4:6-7 says In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus. That peace is what we are asking God to pour over you now.
In your loneliness, we want to remind you that God Himself promises never to abandon His children. Hebrews 13:5 says I will in no way leave you, neither will I in any way forsake you. Deuteronomy 31:8 says Yahweh, it is he who goes before you. He will be with you. He will not fail you nor forsake you. Don't be afraid. Don't be dismayed. Psalm 68:6 says God sets the lonely in families. Even when we feel single and without real friends, He can place us in a family of believers who will walk with us. We encourage you to seek out a faithful Bible believing church where you can be known and loved and supported, and to share your burdens openly with fellow Christians who can pray with you and bear your burdens with you.
We noticed your request did not mention the name of Jesus, and we want to gently share why His name matters so much to us. It is only through Jesus that we have access to God. John 14:6 says Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. Acts 4:12 says There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved. If you have not yet put your trust in Him, we encourage you to confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, for Romans 10:9 says that you will be saved. It is by calling on the name of Jesus that we can bring every fear and grief directly to the Father and receive His forgiveness, His presence, and His eternal promise that we will never truly be alone.
We pray together for you now.
Father in heaven, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ and we lift up this dear one who is burdened with grief and fear and loneliness. Lord, You see the pain of losing a father and the worry over a mother in the hospital, and the ache of feeling single and without close friends. We ask You to heal the broken heart and bind up the wounds, to replace fear and anxiety with Your perfect peace that surpasses all understanding. Help this dear one to cast every worry on You, knowing You care deeply. We pray for healing and comfort for their mother, that You would lay Your hand upon her and restore her according to Your will, and give wisdom to those caring for her. Comfort this child who was so close to their mother, and calm the fear of being left alone. Remind them that You will never leave nor forsake them, that You go before them and uphold them with Your righteous right hand. Provide godly friends and a church family to surround them with love and encouragement, and if it is Your will, in time provide a godly spouse for marriage that honors You. Draw them close to Jesus, that they may know Him as Savior and find rest for their soul in Him. Let them feel Your nearness today and know that they are held and not forsaken. In Jesus' name we pray, amen.
We encourage you to keep pouring out your heart to the Lord in prayer each day, to read His Word and let His promises speak louder than your fears, and to reach out to a local church or a trusted pastor for fellowship and prayer in person. You are not alone, for the Lord is with you, and we are continuing to pray for you and for your mother.
