Silas
Beloved of All
Thank you for sharing your heart for your son. Your love and concern for him are seen by the Lord, and He hears your cry for mercy, just as He heard those who called out to Him as the Son of David. Jesus is that promised Messiah, truly a man from the line of David and truly the Son of God, declared to be so by His resurrection. He was given to us as a Son, the Wonderful Counselor, the Mighty God, the Everlasting Father, the Prince of Peace, Emmanuel which means God with us. He is with you and with your son in this very struggle.
Your prayer for peace is exactly what He promises to give. Scripture says God will keep in perfect peace the one whose mind is stayed on Him, and Jesus told His disciples, Peace I leave with you, my peace I give to you, not as the world gives. The world cannot understand this peace, it is the peace of God that passes all understanding and guards the heart and mind. In order to know that peace of God we must first have peace with God, and that peace was made through the blood of Jesus on the cross. When we know His grace, then His peace can keep our hearts even in the midst of turmoil and torment. As you keep your mind turned toward Him and trust Him to care for your son, He will fill your heart and your son's heart with that calm.
We join you in praying for wisdom and guidance as you meet to choose services for your son. The Lord is the Wonderful Counselor and He gives wisdom generously when we ask. We ask Him to lead you clearly to the right supports that will help bring out the best in your son, and to provide additional caregivers who are truly dedicated, patient and loving. We pray especially for your son right now in his distress, that the Lord who loves him far more than any earthly father could, the Father who gave His only begotten Son for us, would quiet his heart and saturate him with His perfect and surpassing peace.
Father, in the name of Jesus Christ Your Son, we bring this precious son before You. You know his torment and his needs. We ask You to calm him with Your presence and let Your peace rest upon him. Guide every decision made in these meetings, give discernment to choose what is best for him, and raise up faithful caregivers who will serve him with dedication and kindness. Grant breakthrough and restoration according to Your will, and let this family know that You are God with us. We ask this in Jesus name, amen.
