The favor of God is not a contest to be won; and therefore, like grace, should not be boasted in; but rather, one should be humbly grateful for. God shows favor to whomever He chooses for reasons that we may not be aware nor even understand; for all have fallen short. Therefore, when I say that you shouldn't shout over favor, as though you were more righteous than another, it's not because favor isn't a good thing, it is (inspite of ourselves). But the favor giver is the greater, and He is greatly to be praised. I'm not hating on anyone's favored status, in this season, for I know for a fact that favor comes back around:
Romans 8:28 And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.
Howbeit, when you fail to acknowledge and heed God's stipulations to come out from among proud and wicked brethren who excuse their arrogance as "confidence;" GOD's warning is simply this: 1 Corinthians 5:6 "Your glorying is not good. Know ye not that a little leaven leaveneth the whole lump?"
True humility is in recognizing that every day, wherein God allows us to live and breathe, is indeed, a favored day. Thank You LORD!
Give God sincere glory for favor by purifying yourselves of, and removing yourselves from old leaven: 1 Corinthians 5:8 "Therefore let us keep the feast, not with old leaven, neither with the leaven of malice and wickedness; but with the unleavened bread of SINCERITY and TRUTH."
Why be so upset with me or offended by admonition of the Word that you seek to offer up scriptural exoneration or rebuttal? This is God's requirement, not Marian's. What's so wrong with simply heeding the Word?
