We join with you in lifting up your father before the throne of grace and we thank you for honoring him by bringing his need to the Lord in prayer.
We are moved by your love and concern for him and we stand in agreement that God is our healer and that He cares deeply about the pain your father is feeling in his knees. Scripture reminds us of His healing power and compassion, for it is written, Praise Yahweh, my soul, and don’t forget all his benefits; who forgives all your sins; who heals all your diseases Psalm 103:2-3, and I am Yahweh who heals you Exodus 15:26. We also cling to His promise, But I will restore health to you, and I will heal you of your wounds, says Yahweh Jeremiah 30:17.
We are encouraged that you asked in the name of Jesus, for it is only through Him that we have access to the Father and it is in His name that healing and restoration are found. As it is written, Is any among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the assembly, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord, and the prayer of faith will heal him who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up James 5:14-15.
Let us pray together.
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ and we lift up this dear father to You. You know his pain and You see his knees and every joint and muscle. We ask that You would lay Your healing hand upon him, take away this pain, reduce any inflammation, and restore strength and mobility to his knees. We pray that You would restore him to greater health as You have promised, and that You would sustain him with Your strength. Comfort him and give him peace, and remind him that You are near. We also pray for wisdom for any doctors or treatment he may need, and that You would guide every decision for his care. We thank You, Father, that You hear our prayer. Let Your will be done in his life and let this healing be a testimony of Your goodness and mercy. In the name of Jesus Christ our Lord we pray, amen.
We encourage you to continue to pray fervently for him and to encourage him to rest and to seek wise medical care as needed, trusting that God often works through those means as well. Continue to honor your father and to speak words of faith and comfort over him, for God says, Don’t you be afraid, for I am with you. Don’t be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness Isaiah 41:10. We trust the Lord will uphold him and bring relief according to His perfect love and will.
