We come before the throne of grace with hearts aligned to the Word of God, seeking first His kingdom and His righteousness, knowing that all these things shall be added unto us as our Lord Jesus Christ has promised. Your prayer reflects a beautiful reverence for the Lord’s Prayer, a model given to us by Christ Himself, and we join with you in lifting these truths before our Heavenly Father.

The Lord’s Prayer begins with worship, honoring the name of our Father in heaven, declaring that His kingdom come and His will be done on earth as it is in heaven. This is the foundation of all true prayer: not our desires first, but His glory. We are reminded in 1 John 5:14, "This is the confidence which we have toward him, that if we ask anything according to his will, he listens to us." When we seek His will above all else, we can trust that He will provide for our needs, guide our relationships, and protect us from evil.

You rightly emphasize the order of priorities, God’s glory first, then our needs. This reflects the truth of Matthew 6:33, "But seek first God’s Kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well." When we align our hearts with His purposes, He faithfully supplies our daily bread, both physical and spiritual. We pray that you continue to walk in this truth, trusting the Lord to meet every need as you seek Him above all else.

We also lift up your relationship with God and with others. The Lord’s Prayer teaches us to forgive as we have been forgiven, for if we do not forgive others, our Heavenly Father will not forgive us (Matthew 6:14-15). Unforgiveness is a heavy burden, and we pray that any bitterness or resentment in your heart would be uprooted by the love of Christ. Let your relationships reflect the grace you have received, extending mercy as the Lord has shown mercy to you.

Protection from evil is another vital aspect of this prayer. The enemy seeks to steal, kill, and destroy, but Christ has come that we may have life abundantly (John 10:10). We stand against the schemes of the devil, declaring that no weapon formed against you shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17). We pray for spiritual discernment, that you would recognize the enemy’s tactics and resist him, firm in your faith (1 Peter 5:8-9).

We must also address the importance of praying in the name of Jesus. There is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). It is only through Christ that we have access to the Father (Ephesians 2:18). If we do not acknowledge Jesus as Lord and Savior, our prayers cannot reach the throne of grace. We encourage you to always pray in His name, for He alone is the way, the truth, and the life (John 14:6).

Let us now pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. We honor Your holy name and declare that Your kingdom come and Your will be done in our lives and in this world. Father, we ask that You provide for every need, spiritual, physical, and emotional, according to Your riches in glory. Teach us to trust You completely, knowing that You are our Provider and Sustainer.

Lord, we ask for Your forgiveness for any sins we have committed, and we choose to forgive those who have wronged us. Heal our hearts from any bitterness, resentment, or unforgiveness, and help us to walk in love and unity with our brothers and sisters in Christ. May our relationships reflect Your grace and truth.

Protect us, Father, from the schemes of the enemy. Strengthen us to stand firm in our faith, resisting temptation and walking in Your righteousness. Deliver us from evil, and surround us with Your angels for our defense.

We declare that all glory, honor, and power belong to You, now and forever. May our lives bring You praise, and may we always seek Your kingdom first. In Jesus’ holy and precious name, we pray. Amen.

What a beautiful way to approach the Father, placing His glory and kingdom first before lifting your own needs. We are glad to join you in praying in this way, and we thank you for inviting us into that place of worship and dependence.

It is so easy to rush straight to our daily bread, to the pressing worries and needs, but you’ve reminded us of the deep peace that comes when we begin by honoring God’s name and seeking His will. That order itself can be a steady anchor when life feels uncertain. One gentle practice that has helped many of us is to take just five minutes in the morning to slow down and pray through the Lord’s Prayer phrase by phrase, letting each line shape the rest of our day. It turns a familiar prayer into a real conversation.

We pray with you now:

Father, we honor Your name. Let Your kingdom come and Your will be done in each area of our lives, just as it is in heaven. Thank You for the daily bread You faithfully supply, for the forgiveness we have in Jesus and the grace to forgive others. Keep us from temptation and deliver us from evil. We trust Your kingdom, power, and glory, now and forever. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Your prayer reflects the very order of heaven, placing the Father’s glory and will before every earthly need. This is no small thing, for the pattern our Lord gave us begins there, and too many rush to the daily bread without first bowing before the throne. β€œHallowed be Thy name” must ever be the foundation. When the heart is truly set upon God’s glory, it is bent to His will, and then the petitions for provision, pardon, and protection flow from a soul already aligned with its Maker. Seek first the kingdom, and the rest shall be added, not as an afterthought, but as the Father’s good pleasure toward His children.

Yet I perceive in your reference to forgiveness a deeper cry. You speak of debts and debtors, and the text you have chosen whispers what the whole Scripture shouts: β€œThere is forgiveness.” Let that word sink into any trembling heart. It is divine forgiveness, God Himself blotting out transgression for His own sake. It is surprising forgiveness, so astonishing that the Lord repeats it as though marveling at His own mercy. It is complete forgiveness, a canceled debt, as the year of release commanded. And it is eternal forgiveness, sealed by the blood of the covenant. If you have been the chief of sinners, there is the chief of sinners’ pardon waiting with Him. No limit is drawn where God draws none. The Hebrew bears no verb to confine it to one moment; it stands as an everlasting truth: β€œwith Thee there is forgiveness.”

But this pardon is only found in one place, with God, through Jesus Christ His Son. At the cross the riddle is solved. Behold the bleeding Savior, and doubt no more. His Father’s righteous ire fell on Him that we might never bear it. Here is the Father’s will made manifest: that of all He has given to the Son, He should lose nothing, but raise it up at the last day. When Christ forgives, it is the Father’s will. When He receives a rebel, it is the Father’s will. And this forgiveness, once given, is never revoked. The gifts and calling of God are without repentance. The man let down through the roof rose up healed and glorifying God. So shall it be with every soul absolved, glory, glory shall follow upon grace.

Now, to the practical outworking: He who has been forgiven much must forgive much. It is a joint-stock business of mutual mercy. Some of us have had such manifest outward sin washed away that to forgive others ought to be as natural as breath. Forgiving one another is not an optional virtue; it is the very atmosphere of the kingdom. And as for daily bread and deliverance from evil, these are promised to the children who walk in the light of His countenance. Do not go hungering in the midst of plenty. Take the heavenly provision by faith.

Let your prayer be bold, then, because it rests on His eternal glory, His unshakable will, and the finished work of Christ. β€œThine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, forever.” That is not a mere appendage; it is the grand reason for every supplication. He will do it for His name’s sake. Therefore, come with a penitent heart, lay hold of this forgiveness, and go your way, whether to your bed or your daily labor, glorifying God. For the doom of the saints is glory, and the whisper of the gospel is forgiveness. Both are sure in Jesus. Amen, in His name indeed.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

You have rightly placed the glory of the Father and the coming of His kingdom before any petition for your own needs. This is the very order our Lord taught, to seek first the kingdom and His righteousness, trusting that all necessary things will be added. When you then ask for daily bread, remember what this truly means: bread for one day, the simple nourishment required by nature, not a store of delicacies or wealth. The word β€œdaily” strips away anxiety for the morrow and fastens the soul on what is truly necessary, teaching you to depend on God’s provision moment by moment. He who supplies seed to the sower will multiply your seed for sowing and increase the fruits of your righteousness, but He calls you to seek nothing beyond the day’s sustenance.

Praying β€œforgive us our debts as we forgive our debtors” is no light matter. You cannot retain even a vestige of anger against your neighbor if you hope to receive mercy. The same mouth that receives the Body of Christ must not spew bitterness, for we who partake of the one bread become one body. How can we show forth love in that common loaf and then refuse it to a debtor? Blessed are those whose iniquities are forgiven, this is the height of glory, yet it is given only to those who freely extend forgiveness.

When you cry out β€œlead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil,” take courage. God is faithful, and no temptation has taken you except what belongs to human weakness. He will not suffer you to be tested beyond your ability, but will with the temptation provide the way of escape. The apostle counted tribulations, distresses, perils, and sword as nothing compared to the love of God in Christ. Therefore, face trials not in your own strength, but in the common prayer of the whole Church, always saying β€œus” and β€œour,” so that no pride or isolation enters your heart.

Persist in this pattern without wavering. The throne of grace does not demand impassibility from you, for the tyranny of nature requires food and refuge. Yet even in bodily things, let your request be spiritual: a modest sufficiency, a forgiving heart, a trust that knows God’s kingdom and power and glory are forever.
