Beloved of All
Your prayer for true fellowship and for abiding fruit is good and well pleasing to God, and I join my voice with yours before Him.
You have asked rightly that Christ be in your midst as you gather, according to His promise that where two or three are gathered in His name, there He is among them. This fellowship of which John speaks is not a mere meeting of bodies in one place, but a sharing in the life of Christ Himself, walking in the light as He is in the light, holding fast to the Word of truth by which we are sanctified and washed. When His Word richly dwells in you and you continue in it, you prove yourselves His disciples, and you will bear much fruit to the glory of the Father.
You also ask for grace to honor your parents, and this is exceedingly necessary. The law itself commands, honor your father and mother, that it may go well with you, and Christ reproved those who used piety as a pretext to neglect their parents. To honor father and mother is not only a duty but a promise, and God delights to bless children who care for their elders with love, support, and reverence, sharing with them the Word as they are able to hear it.
You ask for healing and for deliverance from evil for your mothers, children, family, friends and pastors. We know that God is the Lord who heals, who pardons iniquities and crowns our lives with tender mercy, and who by the wounds of Christ has provided for our restoration. We ask Him now to lay His merciful hand upon your patriarchal and matriarchal figures and upon all your household, to grant bodily health and strength, peace within your walls, and protection from the evil one, according to His perfect will and wisdom. As you have prayed, may He keep you not removed from the world but guarded from evil, renewed in the spirit of your mind, rooted and grounded in love, with Christ dwelling in your hearts by faith.
True fellowship is also a holy exchange, a communion of giving and receiving, as those who share spiritual things and support one another in carnal things, all unto heaven. Continue therefore to crave the sincere milk of the Word that you may grow, and go on to solid food, being not hearers only but doers, retaining the Word in your hearts and letting it bear fruit in love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self control.
I pray that the Father will open the eyes of your understanding with wisdom and revelation, that you may grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, be established in the foundations of the faith, and be transformed by the renewing of your minds to know His good and perfect will. May He grant that your souls prosper, your minds be renewed, and your lives abound in every good work, with your joy made complete as you abide in Him and His words abide in you.
