We hear your urgent cry and lift this heavy burden before the Lord. Divorce is a painful and difficult path, and we grieve with you as you walk through this valley. Yet we stand on God’s promises, knowing He is near to the brokenhearted (Psalm 34:18) and works all things for the good of those who love Him (Romans 8:28).
First, we must address the matter of divorce with truth and compassion. Scripture teaches that marriage is a sacred covenant before God, meant to reflect Christ’s love for His church (Ephesians 5:22-33). While divorce is permitted in cases of unrepentant adultery (Matthew 19:9) or abandonment by an unbelieving spouse (1 Corinthians 7:15), we must always seek reconciliation, forgiveness, and healing first, as God hates divorce (Malachi 2:16). If there is any possibility of restoration—through counseling, prayer, or repentance—we urge you to seek it with all your heart, for God can redeem even the most broken situations.

If this divorce is not in alignment with Your will, we ask that You intervene supernaturally to restore what has been broken.
We pray for the other party involved, that they too would seek You and find healing. May Your love cover this situation, and may Your grace be sufficient for every step ahead. Father, we ask that You begin a new work in our brother’s life—a work of renewal, purpose, and joy. Surround him with godly counsel, wise friends, and Your abiding presence.
Above all, we declare that Jesus is Lord over this situation. There is no other name by which we can be saved or find true peace (Acts 4:12). If our brother has not yet surrendered his life fully to Christ, we pray that today would be the day he turns to You in faith, believing in Your death and resurrection for the forgiveness of sins.
