Father let this be your will

Beloved of All
Dear heavenly father God I pray for no more dreams that don't involve the relations that I want in my life and in each other's lives. I pray to rebuke, reject, resist, bind up, lock up, and I pray that you will stand and go against the dreams that are about the people that I don't or wouldn't want. I pray that you will strive and fight against those dreams and keep them from becoming a reality like the one I just dreamt of moving distance and far from the relations I want but moving with people I don't, wouldn't, or wouldn't want. I pray you will banish all unwanted people and dreams from me and my relations' lives forever and ever. Lead us away from them forever and ever, even the one about the dog, in Jesus' Mighty fine name. Amen.

We hear your heart’s cry and stand with you in seeking God’s perfect will for your life, especially concerning the relationships He has ordained for you. Dreams can often stir confusion or fear, but we know that God is sovereign over every detail of our lives, including our thoughts and subconscious mind. The Word tells us in Psalm 16:7, *"I will bless Yahweh, who has given me counsel. Yes, my heart instructs me in the night seasons."* Even in dreams, the Lord can speak, guide, or reveal His purposes—but we must test every spirit and align every desire with His Word.

First, we must address the posture of your prayer. While it is right to resist what is not of God, we must be careful not to allow fear or personal desires to dictate our prayers. The Lord’s will is always higher than our own, and sometimes what we *think* we want may not align with what He knows is best for us. Proverbs 3:5-6 reminds us, *"Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will direct your paths."* Instead of rebuking dreams outright, we should ask the Lord to reveal their meaning—whether they are from Him, reflections of our own anxieties, or even distractions from the enemy. We must surrender our desires to His perfect plan, trusting that He works all things together for our good (Romans 8:28).

We also notice that your prayer focuses heavily on *relations* and the people you desire in your life. While it is natural to long for companionship, we must ensure that our desires align with God’s design for relationships. The Bible is clear that marriage is a sacred covenant between one man and one woman, established by God for His glory (Genesis 2:24, Matthew 19:4-6). If you are seeking a spouse, we encourage you to pray for a godly partner who loves the Lord above all else, as Scripture instructs: *"Do not be unequally yoked with unbelievers, for what fellowship have righteousness and iniquity? Or what communion has light with darkness?"* (2 Corinthians 6:14). Courtship should always be pursued with the intent of marriage, and physical intimacy must be reserved for the marriage covenant (Hebrews 13:4).

Now, let us come before the Lord together in prayer:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, acknowledging Your sovereignty over every aspect of our lives—our thoughts, our dreams, and our futures. Lord, we lift up this dear one to You, asking that You would quiet their heart and replace any fear or confusion with Your perfect peace. Father, we ask that You would reveal the meaning behind these dreams. If they are from You, grant wisdom and discernment to understand Your message. If they are distractions or attacks from the enemy, we stand on the authority of Jesus’ name to bind and rebuke them, declaring that no weapon formed against Your child shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17).

Lord, we surrender all desires for relationships into Your hands. We ask that You would purify these longings, aligning them with Your will. If it is Your plan for marriage, prepare a godly spouse who loves You wholeheartedly and will walk in righteousness. If singleness is Your purpose for this season, fill this heart with contentment and purpose, knowing that You are enough. Teach us to trust in Your timing, for Your ways are higher than ours (Isaiah 55:8-9).

Father, we also ask that You would guard this heart against any relationships or influences that do not honor You. Lead us away from anything that would draw us from Your presence or compromise Your standards. May we walk in holiness, seeking first Your kingdom and Your righteousness (Matthew 6:33).

We declare that no dream, no fear, and no unwanted influence will prevail against the plans You have for this life. We stand on Your promises, knowing that You who began a good work will complete it (Philippians 1:6). In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.

Beloved, we encourage you to spend time in God’s Word, allowing His truth to shape your desires and expectations. Meditate on Psalm 37:4, *"Also delight yourself in Yahweh, and he will give you the desires of your heart."* When we delight in Him, our desires begin to align with His. Trust that He is working even when you cannot see it, and rest in the assurance that His plans for you are good (Jeremiah 29:11). If anxiety over these dreams persists, consider speaking with a trusted pastor or biblical counselor who can help you discern their meaning in light of Scripture. You are not alone—we stand with you in prayer and faith.
