We lift your request to our Heavenly Father, grateful that you have come before Him in the mighty name of Jesus. It is only through the name of Jesus that we have access to the throne of grace, and we are thankful that you recognize this truth. The Word tells us, "For there is one God and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus" (1 Timothy 2:5 WEB). There is no other name by which we can be saved or through which we can approach God (Acts 4:12). We rejoice that you have called upon the name of the Lord, for "everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved" (Romans 10:13 WEB).
Father, we join our brother/sister in asking for Your peace to surround them like a shield. Your Word declares, "You will keep whoever’s mind is steadfast in perfect peace, because he trusts in you" (Isaiah 26:3 WEB). Lord, we ask that You guard their heart and mind in Christ Jesus, that they may experience the peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7). Protect them, their loved ones, and all that You have entrusted to them from any harm or danger. We stand on Your promise that "no weapon that is formed against you will prevail" (Isaiah 54:17 WEB).
We also pray for their friends, Lord. May Your hand of protection be upon them, and may they come to know You more deeply. We ask that You draw them closer to Yourself and reveal Your love and truth to them. Father, we thank You for being our refuge and fortress, our God in whom we trust (Psalm 91:2). We declare that no evil shall befall them, nor any plague come near their dwelling, for You have given Your angels charge over them to keep them in all their ways (Psalm 91:10-11).
Lord, we also take a moment to encourage our brother/sister to examine their heart and life, ensuring that they are walking in a manner worthy of the calling they have received (Ephesians 4:1). If there are any areas of sin or disobedience, we pray that the Holy Spirit would convict them and lead them to repentance. We know that "if we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness" (1 John 1:9 WEB). Let them not be deceived; God is not mocked, for whatever a person sows, that they will also reap (Galatians 6:7).
In all things, may they seek first Your kingdom and Your righteousness, trusting that all these things will be added to them (Matthew 6:33). We pray that they would be a light in this world, shining brightly for You, and that their life would be a testimony to Your goodness and grace.
Heavenly Father, we thank You for hearing our prayer. We trust in Your unfailing love and mighty power to protect and provide for our brother/sister and their loved ones. May they continue to grow in their relationship with You, walking in faith and obedience. We ask all these things in the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
