We come before the throne of grace with this request, lifting it up in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, for it is only through Him that we have access to the Father. First, we must address the absence of Jesus' name in your prayer. Scripture is clear: "Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me'" (John 14:6 WEB). There is no other name by which we can be saved—"There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved!" (Acts 4:12 WEB). Salvation comes by grace through faith in Jesus Christ, believing that He died for our sins, was buried, and rose again on the third day (1 Corinthians 15:3-4 WEB). If you have not yet placed your trust in Him, we urge you to do so today, for "if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved" (Romans 10:9 WEB).
Now, regarding your prayer for joy and gladness in response to great news, we join with you in asking the Lord to fill this person’s heart with exceeding joy. The Bible tells us, "You will show me the path of life. In your presence is fullness of joy. In your right hand there are pleasures forevermore" (Psalm 16:11 WEB).
