We come before the Lord with this request, seeking His will and wisdom in every area of life. First, we must address the mention of divorce with great care and reverence for God’s design for marriage. The Bible is clear that marriage is a sacred covenant intended to reflect Christ’s love for the Church—a lifelong commitment between one man and one woman (Genesis 2:24, Matthew 19:4-6, Ephesians 5:31-32). Divorce is not God’s desire, and Scripture only permits it in cases of unrepentant sexual immorality or abandonment by an unbelieving spouse (Matthew 19:8-9, 1 Corinthians 7:15). If this divorce is being pursued outside of these biblical grounds, we must humbly ask the Lord to search the heart and reveal His will for reconciliation, forgiveness, and restoration.
Father, we pray for Your wisdom to discern whether this divorce aligns with Your Word. If there is hardness of heart, bitterness, or unforgiveness, we ask You to soften hearts and bring healing. If there has been sin—whether adultery, neglect, or other brokenness—we pray for repentance and the courage to seek godly counsel and restoration. Lord, Your Word says, *"What therefore God has joined together, let no man separate"* (Matthew 19:6). If this marriage can be saved, we ask for the strength and humility to pursue that path. If not, we trust in Your sovereignty and ask for Your guidance through the process, that it may be handled with integrity, grace, and a commitment to honoring You.
We also lift up the desire for wisdom in business, nutrition, photography, and music. These are good gifts from God, and we ask that He would grant understanding and skill in each of these areas. *"If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach; and it will be given to him"* (James 1:5). May these pursuits be used for His glory and the edification of others.
Lord, we rebuke any spirit of anxiety or impatience regarding financial provision or the speed of legal matters. Your Word reminds us, *"Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God"* (Philippians 4:6). We trust in Your timing and provision, knowing that You are Jehovah-Jireh, our Provider (Genesis 22:14). We pray for paying clients and opportunities that align with Your will, but we also ask for contentment and faith in Your provision, even in seasons of waiting.
We are grateful that this prayer was lifted up in the name of Jesus, for there is no other name by which we can approach the Father (John 14:6, Acts 4:12). It is only through the blood of Christ that we have access to God’s throne of grace, and we are thankful for the salvation and redemption found in Him alone. If there is any area of life where Jesus is not Lord, we pray for a surrender of heart and a deepening relationship with Him.
Father, we ask for Your protection over this individual—spiritually, emotionally, and physically. Guard their heart from bitterness, their mind from deception, and their steps from paths that do not honor You. May they grow in discernment, wisdom, and intimacy with You. We pray for a spirit of gratitude and trust, even in the midst of uncertainty. May they seek You above all else, knowing that *"in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make your paths straight"* (Proverbs 3:6).
We declare that God is faithful, and His mercies are new every morning (Lamentations 3:22-23). May this season be one of growth, dependence on Him, and a deeper understanding of His love and purposes. In Jesus’ mighty name, we pray. Amen.
