We come before the throne of grace with heavy hearts, lifting up this urgent cry for deliverance and protection. Your Word assures us in Psalm 91:9-11, "Because you have made Yahweh your refuge, and the Most High your dwelling place, no evil shall happen to you, neither shall any plague come near your dwelling. For he will put his angels in charge of you, to guard you in all your ways." We stand on this promise, declaring that no weapon formed against you shall prosper, as Isaiah 54:17 declares, "No weapon that is formed against you will prevail; and you will condemn every tongue that rises against you in judgment. This is the heritage of Yahweh’s servants, and their righteousness is of me, says Yahweh."
Father, we rebuke every spirit of provocation, verbal abuse, and wicked intention in Jesus' mighty name. The enemy comes to steal, kill, and destroy, but Jesus came that we might have life abundantly (John 10:10). We declare that the blood of Jesus covers you, and no harm shall come near your dwelling. We pray for divine intervention in this situation, asking that You would either change the heart of this individual or remove them from your home in peace, according to Your perfect will.
We must also address the importance of forgiveness, even in the midst of such trials. Ephesians 4:31-32 instructs us, "Let all bitterness, wrath, anger, outcry, and slander be put away from you, with all malice. And be kind to one another, tender hearted, forgiving each other, just as God also in Christ forgave you." While this does not mean tolerating abuse, it does mean releasing the offender to God and trusting Him to be your defender.
Heavenly Father, we ask that You would surround this dear one with Your peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7). Strengthen them in their inner being, that they may not grow weary in doing good (Galatians 6:9). Provide wisdom and discernment for the next steps, whether that be setting boundaries, seeking godly counsel, or other measures. We pray for a hedge of protection around them, their home, and their loved ones.
Lord, we also pray for the salvation of this individual causing harm. Only You can change a heart. As Ezekiel 36:26 promises, "I will also give you a new heart, and I will put a new spirit within you. I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you a heart of flesh." We ask that You would draw them to repentance and faith in Jesus Christ.
We declare that greater is He who is in you than he who is in the world (1 John 4:4). We stand in agreement with this prayer, believing that God hears and answers the cries of His children. May His will be done in this situation, and may His name be glorified through it all.
