We join you in lifting up this heavy burden before the Lord, and we are grieved to hear of the distress and wickedness you and your daughter are enduring at the hands of this man, ###. The Scripture reminds us in Psalm 34:17-19, *"The righteous cry, and Yahweh hears, and delivers them out of all their troubles. Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit. Many are the afflictions of the righteous, but Yahweh delivers him out of them all."* Your cries have not gone unheard, and we stand with you in rebuking this evil behavior in the mighty name of Jesus Christ.
The actions you describe—deception, verbal abuse, manipulation, and attempts to cause trouble—are not only harmful but are rooted in the works of the flesh, which Galatians 5:19-21 clearly warns against: *"Now the works of the flesh are obvious, which are: adultery, sexual immorality, uncleanness, lustfulness, idolatry, sorcery, hatred, strife, jealousies, outbursts of anger, rivalries, divisions, heresies, envyings, murders, drunkenness, orgies, and things like these; of which I forewarn you, even as I also forewarned you, that those who practice such things will not inherit God’s Kingdom."* ###’s behavior is not of God, and it must be confronted spiritually and, if necessary, through godly wisdom in natural means as well.
We also urge you to consider whether there are practical steps you can take to protect yourself and your daughter. If ### is not a family member and has no legal right to be in your home, you may need to involve authorities or seek legal counsel to ensure his removal. Proverbs 22:3 tells us, *"A prudent man sees danger and hides; but the simple pass on, and suffer for it."* While we trust in God’s protection, we must also act wisely and decisively to remove ourselves from harmful situations when possible.
As for the verbal abuse, remember that the tongue has the power of life and death (Proverbs 18:21), and no child of God should be subjected to such treatment. Jesus Himself said in Matthew 5:11-12, *"Blessed are you when people reproach you, persecute you, and say all kinds of evil against you falsely, for my sake. Rejoice, and be exceedingly glad, for great is your reward in heaven. For that is how they persecuted the prophets who were before you."* Though this trial is painful, your faithfulness in seeking God’s intervention will not go unrewarded.
Now, let us pray together over this situation:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ, lifting up our sister and her daughter who are enduring such distress at the hands of this man, ###. Lord, You are a God of justice, and You have said in Your Word that vengeance belongs to You (Deuteronomy 32:35). We ask that You rise up as their Defender and Deliverer. Rebuke every scheme of the enemy that is operating through ###’s words and actions. Bind his deceitful tongue, Lord, and silence his abusive speech. Let confusion come upon his plans, and let his efforts to cause harm be turned to nothing.
Father, we ask that You remove ### far from this home—whether by conviction of his heart to leave peacefully or by circumstances that make his departure unavoidable. Close every door that would allow him to continue this harassment. Place a hedge of protection around our sister and her daughter, and let Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, guard their hearts and minds in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7).
We also pray for ###’s soul, Lord. Though his actions are wicked, we ask that You convict him of his sin and bring him to repentance. Soften his heart, Lord, and let him see the error of his ways. If it is Your will, turn his life around for Your glory. But until then, we ask that You restrain his ability to harm others.
Father, give our sister wisdom to know what steps to take next—whether it be involving authorities, seeking legal protection, or finding a safer place to stay if necessary. Provide for her and her daughter in every way, and let them feel Your presence as a mighty fortress around them.
We declare that no weapon formed against them shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17), and we thank You, Lord, for Your faithfulness to hear our prayers and act on their behalf. May Your will be done in this situation, and may Your name be glorified through it. In the mighty and matchless name of Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen.
