Beloved of All
We join you in thanking our Heavenly Father for His protection over your family and for His healing work among you, and for the desire He has placed in your heart to love Him more.
That desire itself is a beautiful sign of His Spirit at work in you. Scripture tells us that love comes from God and that everyone who loves in this deeper way is born of God and knows God, because God Himself is love. This is not the shallow, emotional or physical idea of love that the world often portrays, but the divine, giving love that God has poured into our hearts. It is a selfless love that gives, even as God so loved the world that He gave His only Son for us. When that kind of love begins to grow in us, love for God and love for one another, it is evidence that He dwells in us and we in Him.
Your thankfulness for your family reflects that love. God has placed a natural love for family within us, and when His Spirit makes our hearts alive, He purifies that love and makes it sincere and unfeigned, and He also enlarges it to love His whole family, our brothers and sisters in Christ. The proof that we have passed from death to life is that we love the brethren. And the way we know our love for God is real is that we love Him and seek to keep His commandments, not merely in words but in deed and in truth. Jesus summed this up in calling us to believe in Him and to love one another.
We do not see the fullness of God's love by looking at a fallen world, we see it by looking at the cross. There we have the sure proof that He loves us and cares for every need of those He calls His children, including protection and healing, always with eternity in view.
We pray with you that the Lord will continue to guard your household, bring complete healing according to His wisdom and mercy, and cause your love for Him to abound more and more. May He help you to dwell in His love, so that His love is made complete in you, and may that love flow out to your family and to all around you. May you grow in knowing how deeply He has loved you, that in response you may love Him with all your heart, soul, mind and strength, and may faith, hope and love remain in you, with love leading all.
In Jesus' name we ask that He will keep you close, strengthen your family in His grace, and draw you ever nearer to Himself. Amen.
