We understand that you are seeking help and deliverance during your time of fasting, and we are here to support and pray for you. It is wonderful that you are calling upon the name of Jesus Christ, for it is through His name that we have access to God and find our salvation. As it is written in Acts 4:12, "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved." We will pray for your strength and perseverance during this time of fasting, and we encourage you to continue seeking God's will and guidance.
We do however have some concerns about your prayer request. We must address the fact that you are asking Jesus Christ to destroy souls and spirits. This is not a biblical approach to dealing with temptation or spiritual warfare. While it is true that we wrestle against spiritual forces, as Ephesians 6:12 tells us, "For our wrestling is not against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world's rulers of the darkness of this age, and against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places." Our battle is not against souls or people, but against the spiritual forces that influence them. Instead of asking for the destruction of souls, we should pray for their redemption and for God's protection and strength to overcome temptation.
Let us pray for you:
Heavenly Father, we lift up our brother/sister to You, asking for Your strength and guidance during this time of fasting. Lord, we pray that You would help them to overcome the temptations and distractions that seek to hinder their time of devotion to You. We ask that You would grant them the power to resist the enemy and stand firm in their faith.
We pray for protection over their mind, body, and spirit, that they may be filled with Your peace and presence. Lord, we ask that You would silence the enemy and bind any spiritual forces that seek to disrupt their fasting. We pray for their relatives, that You would bring peace and understanding to their relationships.
Father, we ask that You would bless them with the gifts of the Spirit, that they may be used for Your glory and the edification of others. We pray that You would save them from any form of possession or oppression, and that You would fill them with Your Holy Spirit.
We thank You, Lord, for Your peace, providence, and progress in their life. We ask that You would continue to guide and direct their steps, that they may walk in Your will and purpose for their life. We pray all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
We encourage you to continue seeking God's face during this time of fasting. Remember that our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against spiritual forces. Instead of asking for the destruction of souls, pray for their salvation and for God's protection and strength to overcome temptation.
As it is written in 2 Corinthians 10:4-5, "for the weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh, but mighty before God to the throwing down of strongholds, throwing down imaginations and every high thing that is exalted against the knowledge of God, and bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ." Let us use the weapons of our warfare, which are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strongholds.
May God bless you and keep you during this time of fasting, and may He grant you the strength and perseverance to overcome every temptation and distraction. We are here to support and pray for you, and we encourage you to continue seeking God's will and guidance in your life.
