Fast recovery

Disciple of Prayer
Hi everyone , are you please able to pray for me, I'm very unwell in bed and I think I've got an infection on both my arms as I hurt them riding a electric scooter going 25-30km and ran into a fence and then on the footpath concrete, it was cut /scraped now it's looking like it's getting infected as skin came away , I need to keep on eye on it and wash it 2 times a day and re dress it if not have to go to the doctors for antibiotics and a cream too most likely, if you could pray I have a very fast speedy recovery and my arms heal very very fast and no complications with any infection or scaring , that's my worst fear getting an infection and having scars on my arms 😭

We join together with you in prayer for your healing and for a speedy recovery from this painful accident. We are sorry to hear you are so unwell and in bed with these injuries to both of your arms, and we understand your fear about infection and scarring. We bring your body before the Lord who is our healer and we ask for His mercy and restoration over you.

The Scripture reminds us that God cares for our bodies and is able to heal us, as it is written, Bless Yahweh, my soul, and don’t forget all his benefits, who forgives all your sins, who heals all your diseases Psalm 103:2-3. And again, But I will restore health to you, and I will heal you of your wounds, says Yahweh Jeremiah 30:17. We also take comfort that He is near to those who are suffering and afraid, for He says, Don’t you be afraid, for I am with you. Don’t be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness Isaiah 41:10.

We want to encourage you to be a good steward of the body God has given you and to seek proper medical care quickly. Washing and re-dressing the wounds twice a day as you are doing is wise, but if there are signs of infection such as increasing redness, swelling, warmth, pus, fever, or worsening pain, please do not delay in going to the doctor for antibiotics and proper cream. God often works His healing through the wisdom He has given to physicians, and to seek help is not a lack of faith but an act of wisdom. We pray that if treatment is needed it will be effective quickly and prevent any complications.

We also notice your request did not mention the name of Jesus Christ, and we want to gently share why His name is so essential. It is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father and it is only by His name that we are saved. Jesus said, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me John 14:6. And Scripture declares, There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved Acts 4:12. If you have not yet put your trust in Him, we encourage you to call upon Him, confess your sins, and believe that He died and rose again for you, for if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved Romans 10:9. It is in His name that we can boldly bring your need for healing before God.

Let us pray together.

Father in heaven, we lift up this dear one to You in the name of Jesus Christ Your Son. You see the pain, the wounds on both arms, the skin that was torn away, and the fear of infection and scarring. Lord, we ask for Your healing hand to rest upon these arms. We pray that You would cleanse these wounds, stop any infection from taking hold, and cause healthy skin to form very quickly without complication. Guide those who may provide medical care and give wisdom to know if antibiotics or other treatment is needed. Ease the pain, give rest while in bed, and remove fever and unwellness. Cast out fear and replace it with Your peace, for Your Word says, In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus Philippians 4:6-7. We ask for a fast and complete recovery according to Your will, and that even if some marks remain, this one would know that their worth is in You and not in outward appearance. We pray all these things in the mighty and healing name of Jesus Christ, Amen.

We encourage you to keep trusting the Lord while you diligently care for these wounds and seek medical help promptly if they worsen. We are praying that God will grant you a very speedy healing and protect you from further harm.

We were sorry to hear you are stuck in bed feeling so unwell after that fall on your scooter. Hurting both arms like that, running into a fence and then onto concrete, and now watching the scrapes where skin came away is a lot to deal with. It makes sense you would feel anxious about infection and about scarring.

Thank you for letting us know how you are doing. We are praying for you for comfort while you rest and for wisdom as you decide about care.

You mentioned you are trying to keep an eye on the wounds, washing and redressing them, and that you may need to see a doctor for antibiotics or cream. If you are worried at all, or if things do not look better quickly, please reach out to your doctor or clinic promptly alongside prayer so they can assess it in person and guide you. Since you are unwell in bed, it can also help to have a trusted family member, friend or neighbor check in on you regularly until you are feeling stronger.

We are holding you in prayer and asking God to bring you peace as you wait and heal.

Father, we lift our friend to You right now. You see the pain and worry and how unwell they feel. Please bring comfort, rest, and healing according to Your will, and give them clear wisdom and good support as they seek care. Guard their heart from fear and draw near with Your peace. In Jesus' name, amen.

Your request has been heard and we have brought you before the Lord in prayer in your sickness and pain.

We are sorry to hear of your fall from the scooter and of the wounds to both your arms, and we understand the fear that has come with the soreness and the signs of infection and the dread of scarring. We have prayed that the Lord, who is the great Physician, would lay His healing hand upon you and grant you a speedy recovery without complication.

The Scripture tells us that the leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations, and that even the least thing about Christ is full of healing virtue. The Sun of Righteousness has risen with healing in His wings, and pardon and healing are found together in Him. We have asked that He would be pleased to give power to the means you are using, the washing and redressing of the wounds, and to give wisdom to any doctor you may see, and that He would keep infection from taking hold and cause the skin to heal cleanly and quickly.

We have also prayed against fear, for the Lord says so often in His Word, Fear not, for I am with you, be not dismayed for I am your God, I will help you. Fear is weakening and it dishonors the Lord who made and sustains us, but trust in His promised strength brings peace. You are not alone in this bed of pain, for He is with you there, and He cares for the body as well as the soul.

Please continue to care for the wounds as you have been advised, washing them and keeping them dressed, and do not delay in going to the doctor for antibiotics and cream if the redness spreads or worsens, for the Lord often works His healing through the physician and through proper means. Watch carefully over the next days, and seek help promptly if needed.

We pray that the Lord would grant you strength to recover, that each day you would find yourself a little stronger, and that you would see in every increase of strength a fresh reason to give thanks to Him. May He calm your heart, remove anxious fear, and let you rest in His present help, and may He restore you soon to full health.

We will continue to pray for your fast and complete healing.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

We are praying for you in this painful and worrying time, and we ask the Lord to bring you comfort and healing.

We pray that God in His mercy would touch your arms, prevent infection from taking hold, and bring about a quick and complete recovery. We ask Him to guide you with wisdom as you care for these wounds, to give skill to any doctors or nurses who may treat you, and to grant you peace as you wait on His healing. May He guard you from complications and from lasting scarring, and restore your strength day by day.

Scripture reminds us that the Lord is compassionate toward our suffering and that He is the one who heals us. It is good to bring both our prayers and our practical care before Him. Please continue to watch your wounds closely, wash and dress them as you have been advised, and do not hesitate to go to the doctor promptly for antibiotics or proper cream if you see increasing redness, swelling, warmth, pus, fever, or worsening pain. Caring faithfully for the body God has given us is part of trusting Him.

We understand your fear about infection and scars. God sees that fear and He cares for you. Even as you pray for speedy healing, ask Him also for patience and for trust in His care, whatever the course of recovery may be. He is near to those who call on Him and He will not leave you alone in this.

We will continue to lift you up, that God would grant you healing, protect you from infection, ease your pain, and give you rest as you recover. If you are able, please let us know how you are doing so we can keep praying for you.

Thank you for letting us know about your fall and how much pain and worry you are carrying right now. I am praying for you as you rest in bed with these wounds on both arms, and I understand why the thought of infection and lasting scars would bring fear.

I want to pray with you for a quick and complete recovery, for the infection to be stopped and for your skin to heal cleanly with as little scarring as possible. At the same time I want to encourage you to keep trusting the Lord with an honest faith. Scripture shows us that Jesus truly does heal. Matthew, writing by the Holy Spirit, tells us that when Jesus healed many who were sick he was fulfilling what Isaiah said, that he himself took our infirmities and bore our sicknesses. That prophecy is not only about forgiveness of sin, it also points to physical healing, which is why when Jesus gave the bread at the table he said this is my body broken for you. He has power over the physical realm and compassion for our suffering, so it is right to ask him for healing.

Yet Scripture also teaches us not to assume that God will always choose instant healing in every case. Paul prayed three times for his thorn in the flesh to be removed and the Lord answered him in another way. That reminds us that while we pray boldly for healing, we also submit to the wisdom of God and trust his loving will for us.

Part of that trust is bringing our fear to him. The first word God spoke after four hundred years of silence was fear not, spoken to Zacharias, and that promise still stands. God has not given us a spirit of fear but of power and love and a sound mind. Fear and faith cannot rule the heart at the same time, and remembering that the Lord is with us is the cure for fear. Even as you worry about what the wounds will look like, you can ask him to quiet your heart and to fill you with peace. There is a proverb that a joyful heart does good like a medicine, and we now know how closely the health of the soul and the health of the body are connected. Caring for your peace, keeping your mind stayed on Christ, and letting him give you rest will help you as your body heals.

God often heals through the natural processes he himself created. Every healing process is from him, whether it comes suddenly or gradually. Jesus once healed a man gradually, and that shows that gradual healing is still divine healing. The careful work you are doing, washing the wounds twice a day and keeping them dressed, is part of cooperating with the way God designed our bodies to recover. Please continue to watch the wounds closely and go promptly to a doctor for antibiotics or cream if you see signs of spreading infection. Seeking medical help is not a lack of faith, it is using the wise provision God has given.

Let me pray for you. Father, in the name of Jesus I bring this dear one before you. You see the pain, the scrapes, the torn skin on both arms and the concern about infection. I ask that you would arise with healing as you have promised, that you would restrain infection, calm inflammation, and cause healthy skin to form quickly. Guide the hands of any doctor or nurse who may help, give wisdom about care and dressing, and prevent any complication. Take away fear and replace it with faith, power, love and a sound mind. Give a merry and peaceful heart that brings strength to the body, and let the recovery be as speedy and complete as it can be according to your gracious will. Help this one to feel your nearness in bed tonight and to know that you care for both soul and body. Amen.

Keep keeping the wounds clean, keep them covered as advised, and do not hesitate to get care quickly if redness, swelling, warmth, fever or increased pain develops. Keep bringing your worries to the Lord in prayer and let him carry them. He is with you in this, and he is able to heal and to give you peace while he does his work.
