We are deeply grieved to hear of the loss of your newborn child and the pain your wife is enduring after her C-section. The sorrow of losing a child is profound, and the physical suffering she is experiencing only adds to the burden you both carry. We stand with you in this difficult time, lifting your family before the throne of grace, where our Heavenly Father hears the cries of His children.

First, we must address the foundation of our faith. It is only through the name of Jesus Christ that we have access to God, for He Himself said, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me" (John 14:6 WEB). There is no other name by which we can be saved or find true healing, spiritually, emotionally, or physically. If you have not already, we encourage you to place your trust fully in Jesus, who bore our griefs and carried our sorrows (Isaiah 53:4 WEB). He is the Great Physician, and His power is not limited by distance, time, or circumstance.

We rebuke the spirit of despair and physical affliction that seeks to prolong your wife’s suffering. The Word of God declares, "By His stripes we are healed" (Isaiah 53:5 WEB), and we take hold of that promise now. We command the pain to cease in Jesus’ name and declare that her body will recover swiftly, as the Lord wills. The enemy may seek to steal, kill, and destroy (John 10:10 WEB), but Jesus came that we might have life abundantly, even in the midst of sorrow.

We also lift up your wife’s emotional and spiritual well-being. The loss of a child is a wound that cuts deep, and the Lord sees her tears. "You number my wanderings. You put my tears into your bottle. Aren’t they in your book?" (Psalm 56:8 WEB). We pray that the Holy Spirit would comfort her in ways only He can, drawing her close to the heart of the Father, who also lost His only Son. May she find peace that surpasses understanding (Philippians 4:7 WEB) and strength in her weakness (2 Corinthians 12:9 WEB).

For you, dear brother, we pray for God’s sustaining grace as you navigate this trial from afar. The weight of concern for your wife and the grief of loss may feel overwhelming, but the Lord is your refuge and strength (Psalm 46:1 WEB). We encourage you to cast all your anxieties on Him, for He cares for you (1 Peter 5:7 WEB). Seek the support of your church family, as we are called to bear one another’s burdens (Galatians 6:2 WEB).

Let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. We thank You that You are near to the brokenhearted and save those who have a contrite spirit (Psalm 34:18 WEB). Lord, we lift up this family to You, asking for Your healing touch to rest upon the wife’s body. We declare that by the stripes of Jesus, she is healed, and we command every pain, inflammation, and complication to leave her now. Strengthen her, Lord, and restore her fully, both physically and emotionally.

Father, we ask for Your comfort to surround them as they grieve the loss of their precious child. May they feel Your presence in tangible ways, knowing that You are close to them. We pray for wisdom for the doctors and medical staff attending to her, that they would be guided by Your hand.

Lord, we also ask that You would draw this family closer to You. If there are areas in their lives where they have not fully surrendered to You, reveal Yourself to them in power. Let them know that Jesus is the only way to true peace, healing, and eternal life. We rebuke every spirit of fear, doubt, and despair, and we declare that Your perfect love casts out all fear (1 John 4:18 WEB).

We thank You, Father, for hearing our prayer. We trust in Your goodness and mercy, knowing that You work all things together for good for those who love You (Romans 8:28 WEB). May Your will be done in this situation, and may Your name be glorified. In Jesus’ precious and powerful name, we pray. Amen.

We encourage you to remain steadfast in prayer and to meditate on God’s promises. The road ahead may feel long, but the Lord is faithful, and His mercies are new every morning (Lamentations 3:22-23 WEB). If you have not already, consider reaching out to your local church for prayer and support, as the body of Christ is called to uphold one another in times of need. May the Lord bless you and your wife with His peace and healing.

We were so sorry to hear about the loss of your little one, and that your wife is now hurting so much. It’s a heavy weight to carry, grieving a child while being separated from your wife by distance, and watching her suffer while you can’t be there to hold her hand. We are holding you both up in prayer right now.

You are right to believe that Jesus is the great physician and that his touch brings real comfort. While we ask him to heal her body, we also ask him to wrap his nearness around her so she doesn’t feel alone in that hospital bed or at home. Pain after a C‑section can be a difficult road, especially when layered with sorrow. It’s good she has seen the doctor; we encourage you to gently remind her to keep reporting any pain clearly and not to minimize it, so the medical team can truly help her recover well.

In the meantime, even from a distance, you can be a steady presence. A phone or video call where you simply sit quietly together or read a Psalm aloud can anchor her when she feels overwhelmed. If possible, see if a trusted friend, relative, or someone from your church can visit her, help with meals or errands, and simply be there. You don’t have to carry this alone, and neither does she.

As you both mourn, give yourselves permission to grieve at your own pace. This isn’t just the loss of a baby but the hopes and dreams you had for your family. Jesus draws close to the brokenhearted, and we believe he is with her right now, even in the deepest ache.

Jesus, we ask you to place your healing hand on this dear wife. Calm the inflammation, soothe the nerves, and ease the pain so she can rest and begin to mend. Let her feel your peace seeping into every sore place. Comfort her heart as she grieves, and hold her when she feels alone. Protect her from infection and give wisdom to the doctors. For this husband far away, provide a way for him to offer comfort and to feel connected. Wrap this whole family in your mercy and carry them through these dark days. In your precious name, Amen.

Your trials are great, but the great Physician is near. You cry from a distance, yet the Lord is not far from any who call upon Him in truth. This dear wife of yours, suffering in body and torn in spirit by the loss of your little one, she is not beyond the reach of His healing hand. The woman in the crowd pressed through with a timid faith, saying, "If I may touch but His clothes, I shall be whole." She laid hold upon the hem of His garment, and virtue flowed out of Him at that very moment. The power was not in the garment, nor in the touch itself, but in the Person touched. Even so, let your wife, in her pain, look to Jesus. A simple act of faith, however weak, brings her into contact with Him who is full of healing energy. He needs no special mode, no sign, only that she, in her heart, touch Him.

You are far from home, but prayer travels faster than any messenger. Go now to the throne of grace on her behalf, and plead the name of Jesus, who once touched the fevered brow of Peter’s wife’s mother and lifted her up. He is no less mighty today. Cast your care upon Him, for He cares for you both. And for your own aching heart, remember that comfort in affliction comes from His Word. It is not a hollow comfort, but one that quickens the soul. When He seems not to give comfort directly, He often quickens us in our sorrow, and that becomes our truest consolation. The loss of your babe is a wound only Heaven can fully soothe; yet even now, the leaves of that Tree of Life are for your healing. The little things, the whispered promises, the remembered hymns, the gentle stirring of hope, these carry the medicine of grace.

Take heart, then, and encourage your wife to do the same. The Lord who permitted this trial is also the Lord who will sustain her. If she can but look to Jesus, though through tears, she shall find His grace sufficient. And for you, lean not upon your feelings but upon the steadfast Word. In the days when the pain seems sharp and the future dark, say with the Psalmist, "This is my comfort in my affliction, for Your Word has quickened me." God will not fail you. He is even now working out a blessing hidden in this bitter cup. Press on in faith, and when you cannot trace His hand, trust His heart.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

You believe Jesus is the best doctor in the world, and you speak truly. He who formed the body from dust can command pain to flee with a word. Yet remember that the true art of medicine is not only to relieve the body, but to train the soul in godliness. God measures out to us a little time in this life, and if you spend it only in anxious care for the flesh, you will face a great loss. Far worse than wasted gold is wasted time, for gold you may recover, but time once lost is gone forever.

This trial has been laid upon you and your wife, and it stings. Let the pain instruct you. Do not cast away your confidence now, for it holds a rich reward. You have not lost your faith; you hold it still. Cling to that faith above all else, even as the serpent guards its head. Everything else, even precious health and earthly comfort, may be stripped away, but if the head, which is Christ, is preserved, you will recover all with greater splendor. Count these present sufferings as loss compared to the surpassing worth of knowing Christ Jesus your Lord. What seems a gain of the moment is often true loss, and what feels like loss can become eternal gain when offered to Him.

You are not at home, but your prayers travel where your feet cannot. Spend these days not in fruitless grief but in supplication. The infant you mourn is in the Savior’s keeping. Your wife’s pain is seen by the eyes of mercy. He will give the treatment that is best, whether immediate healing or the patience to endure, for His ways are higher than ours. Only do not let go of the hand of the true Physician. The art of piety is learned in the school of affliction. So lift up your heart, and let your wife hear the same: hold fast to confidence, for the reward is great, and Christ Himself will wipe every tear away.
