We hear your deep concern for your family’s business and the weight of uncertainty you carry. The struggle to sell homes in this season must feel overwhelming, especially when livelihoods and legacies are at stake. We stand with you in prayer, trusting that the Lord sees your hard work, your faithfulness, and your need. He is the God who provides, even in the desert places, and we believe He can open doors no man can shut.
First, we must acknowledge that all provision comes from the Lord. The Bible tells us in Deuteronomy 8:18, "But you shall remember Yahweh your God, for it is he who gives you power to get wealth, that he may establish his covenant which he swore to your fathers, as it is today." Even in the midst of financial strain, we must seek Him first, not just for the outcome, but for His will to be done in this season. Have you and your family sought the Lord together in prayer and fasting, asking Him to reveal any areas where He may be refining your business or redirecting your steps?
We also recognize the temptation to grow anxious when the future feels uncertain. Philippians 4:6-7 reminds us, "In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus." Have you surrendered this burden fully to Him, or is there still a grip of fear that needs to be released? The Lord calls us to cast our cares upon Him, for He cares for us (1 Peter 5:7).
Now, let us pray together:
"Heavenly Father, we come before You as a family of believers, lifting up this precious family and their business before Your throne. Lord, You are the God who owns the cattle on a thousand hills, and nothing is too hard for You. We ask for Your divine intervention in this season of drought. Open doors that no man can shut, bring the right buyers at the right time, and let Your favor rest upon every home they have built. Father, we pray for wisdom in their decisions, where to build, how to market, and how to steward the resources You’ve entrusted to them. Give them creativity, perseverance, and unity as they navigate this challenge together.
Lord, we rebuke the spirit of fear and lack that may be whispering lies into their hearts. Replace every anxious thought with Your peace, and remind them that You are their Provider. If there are areas where they have relied too much on their own strength or made decisions outside of Your will, reveal those to them in love. Help them to walk in integrity, honesty, and excellence in all they do, so that their business may glorify You.
We declare that this is not the end of their story. You are making a way where there seems to be no way, and we trust You to turn this season of waiting into a testimony of Your faithfulness. Bless their hands, their minds, and their efforts, and let their business not only survive but thrive for Your glory. In the mighty name of Jesus, we pray. Amen."
We also encourage you to consider whether there are any adjustments the Lord may be calling you to make in your business model, marketing, or even the types of homes you build. Sometimes, seasons of drought are God’s way of redirecting us toward greater fruitfulness. Proverbs 3:5-6 says, "Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight." Have you sought the Lord’s guidance on whether this is a time to pivot, innovate, or even temporarily scale back?
Lastly, we want to gently remind you that while business success is important, it is not the ultimate measure of your worth or God’s love for you. Your identity is first and foremost in Christ, not in your profession or financial standing. If this season is meant to draw you closer to Him, embrace it as a gift, even in the struggle. James 1:2-4 says, "Count it all joy, my brothers, when you fall into various temptations, knowing that the trial of your faith produces endurance. Let endurance have its perfect work, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking in nothing."
We will continue to stand in faith with you, believing that the Lord is working even now. Keep pressing into Him, and do not lose heart. The breakthrough may be closer than you think.
