Prayer to unblock the family business

Ignorance and a lack of knowledge, combined with mistrust, are preventing the honest conclusion of a family business deal. I need strength and prayer to break through this impasse; I am unable to do it on my own.

We come before the Lord with heavy hearts, lifting up this family business situation that is entangled in ignorance, mistrust, and a lack of knowledge. Father, Your Word tells us in Hosea 4:6, "My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge." We recognize that this ignorance is not just a lack of information, but a barrier that is preventing Your will from being accomplished in this matter. Lord, we ask that You would open the eyes of all involved to see the truth clearly, to understand the facts, and to gain the wisdom needed to move forward in honesty and integrity.

We also rebuke the spirit of mistrust that has taken root here. Proverbs 3:5-6 reminds us, "Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight." Father, we ask that You would replace mistrust with faith, suspicion with confidence, and division with unity. Let Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, guard the hearts and minds of those involved in this business deal.

We pray for strength for our brother or sister who has brought this request before us. It is clear that they feel powerless in this situation, but we know that nothing is impossible with You. Philippians 4:13 declares, "I can do all things through Christ, who strengthens me." Lord, we ask that You would empower them with Your strength, wisdom, and perseverance. Give them the words to speak, the patience to wait, and the courage to act when the time is right.

We also pray for a spirit of reconciliation to flow through this family. Colossians 3:13-14 instructs us, "Bear with one another, and forgive each other, if any man has a complaint against any; even as Christ forgave you, so you also do. Above all these things, walk in love, which is the bond of perfection." Father, we ask that You would soften hearts, heal past wounds, and create an atmosphere where forgiveness and understanding can thrive. Let this business deal not be a source of strife, but an opportunity for Your glory to be revealed.

In the name of Jesus, we break every chain of ignorance, mistrust, and confusion that is hindering this family business. We declare that the truth will be revealed, that wisdom will prevail, and that this deal will be concluded in a way that honors You. We trust in Your perfect timing and Your perfect plan. May this family be drawn closer to You and to one another as they seek Your will in this matter. Amen.

We encourage you to continue seeking the Lord in prayer and to trust in His guidance. Proverbs 16:3 says, "Commit your deeds to Yahweh, and your plans shall succeed." Lean not on your own understanding, but in all your ways acknowledge Him. Surround yourself with godly counsel, and do not grow weary in doing what is right. The Lord is faithful, and He will bring this situation to a just and honest conclusion. Keep your heart open to His leading, and do not let frustration or impatience dictate your actions. God is at work, even when we cannot see it.

One practical step is to ask a neutral third party, someone both sides respect, perhaps an accountant or a trusted family business advisor, to review the unresolved facts and put them in writing. That can lower suspicion without requiring anyone to surrender. Then choose one small, concrete agreement you can make together, even if it is just setting the next conversation. You do not have to solve everything at once.

We are praying for your strength and for honest movement.

Father, you see every layer of confusion and every guarded heart in this family. Give our friend the strength to take one wise, humble step. Bring clarity where there is ignorance. Build enough trust for honest conversation. Guard them from isolation and discouragement. We ask for your guidance and for a resolution that honors what is true and right. In Jesus' name, amen.

You have named the two thieves that are plundering your house: ignorance and mistrust. Do not make light of either. Under the old law, ignorance did not blot out sin, for where the truth is plain and near, ignorance is itself a fault to be confessed. And mistrust of God is not a mere weakness. It is unbelief, and unbelief is a wickedness of the most grave order. Yet the Lord has compassion on the ignorant, and He gives power to the faint.

I will pray with you, but you must also repent of your own share. If you have neglected to know what ought to have been known, seek the light. If you have suspected where you ought to have trusted, call it sin and bring it to the cross. You say you cannot do it on your own. That is the very place where divine strength begins. They that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength. When you have no ability, fling yourself upon the divine strength and lay hold upon the promise: As thy days, so shall thy strength be.

Man of business, your faith is to perform its marvels in the shop and in the commercial room. Bring the whole matter before God, not merely for an unblocked deal, but for an honest heart and a clean conscience. Cry for life and strength, not only for the removal of the obstruction. If the glory of your strength lies in God alone, He will not leave you to break through this in your own power. God Himself has said, I will strengthen them, and He gives power to the faint.

Let us pray. O Lord, this burden is too heavy for the one who bears it. Forgive the ignorance and the mistrust that have fed this impasse. Give clear knowledge where there is confusion, give patience where suspicion has bitten deep, and give strength where human wisdom has failed. Direct this family business to an honest conclusion, for the glory of Christ. Amen.

Your request has been heard and I join you in bringing it before the Lord. You have described the weight of this impasse honestly, that ignorance and lack of knowledge together with mistrust have blocked a fair and honest conclusion to this family business matter, and that you do not have the strength to break through it on your own. It is right to acknowledge this need before God, for true strength is not our own but comes from Him, and He is able to work even through our weakness.

Scripture teaches us to ask God for what we lack. If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God who gives generously to all without reproach, and it will be given to him. Pray therefore not only for the deal to be completed, but for wisdom and understanding to be increased among all involved, for light to replace ignorance, and for truth to replace suspicion. Where mistrust has taken root, honesty, patience and clear communication are needed. The Lord calls us to speak truthfully to one another and to act with integrity, doing to others as we would have them do to us, and to be patient in bearing with one another in love.

As you wait on the Lord, consider also practical steps that honor Him. Seek sound counsel from those with knowledge and experience who can explain what is not understood. Bring matters into the open with gentleness and clarity, keeping careful records and speaking plainly so that nothing is hidden. If possible, invite a trusted and impartial person to help mediate, so that mistrust may be eased and all may hear one another. Commit the outcome to God rather than forcing it by pressure or haste.

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, acknowledging that You are the source of all wisdom and strength. You see this family and this business, and You know the confusion and mistrust that have caused this impasse. Grant to all involved a spirit of wisdom and understanding, that ignorance may be removed and knowledge may increase. Soften hearts where there is suspicion, and help each person to act honestly and fairly. Grant our brother strength to endure, patience to wait on Your timing, and courage to speak and act with integrity. Where there has been division, bring reconciliation where it is possible according to Your will. Lead this matter to a conclusion that is honest and just, and that honors You. Help him to trust not in his own strength but in Yours, and to rest in Your provision whatever the outcome. In Jesus name we pray, Amen.

Continue to seek the Lord daily in prayer and in His Word, and trust Him to guide your steps.

Your request has been heard and brought before the Lord, and I want to pray with you about this heavy burden in your family.

It is an honest and humble thing to say that you are unable to do this on your own. Scripture says that is exactly where blessing begins. Blessed is the person whose strength is in the Lord, who has learned his own weakness and frailty and has put his trust in God instead of himself. When we admit we are weak, His strength is made perfect in us, and His power can be revealed in a way that our own efforts could never accomplish.

The Lord Himself is our strength. He is described as a rock, a fortress, a deliverer, a shield, and a high tower. He is the strength of our lives, our light and our salvation, so we do not need to live in fear even when circumstances feel unstable. He watches over His children and keeps them. When we trust Him with our hearts, He helps us, and our hearts can rejoice and give thanks. He has promised to give strength to His people and to bless His people with peace.

In a family business matter where ignorance, lack of knowledge, and mistrust have created an impasse, that peace and strength are deeply needed. God cares about honesty and faithfulness within families, and He calls us to act with integrity and to care for the good of our own households. Part of trusting Him now is asking Him for the wisdom you and your family lack, for understanding where there has been confusion, and for a spirit of honesty where there has been suspicion, so that what is right and fair can be concluded openly.

I have prayed that God would be your strength in this valley, that what now feels like a dry and sorrowful place would by His grace become a place of refreshment, like a well with pools of water. Those who trust in Him go from strength to strength, and He is able to lift you up and not let this trial overcome you.

Let us pray together. Father, in the name of Jesus, I lift up this dear one to You. You see this family and this business deal that is blocked by lack of knowledge and by mistrust. Lord, You are their rock and fortress, their shield and high tower. Be their strength today. Forgive any wrong, grant wisdom where there is ignorance, and bring understanding where there is confusion. Soften hearts where there is mistrust and lead all involved to desire what is honest and true. Give Your peace that passes understanding, and give strength to endure and to do what is right. May Your Word be their portion and their guide, and may Your hand rest upon them with strength, peace, and love. Help them to trust not in themselves but in You, and to see Your power made perfect in their weakness. In Jesus name, Amen.
