We join you in this beautiful prayer for your family and we thank God for the desire He has placed on your heart for unity and love to reign in your home.

This is truly the heart of God for the family, that we would dwell together in unity and reflect His love to one another. As it is written, How good and how pleasant it is for brothers to dwell together in unity, Psalm 133:1, and Above all these things, walk in love, which is the bond of perfection, Colossians 3:14.

We are encouraged that you prayed in the name of Jesus, for it is only through Him that we have access to the Father and it is His love that enables us to love and forgive one another. Your prayer for humility, patience and kindness reflects the very character Christ calls us to, as we are urged to walk with all lowliness and humility, with patience, bearing with one another in love, being eager to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace, Ephesians 4:2-3.

Forgiveness is at the center of family unity, and your prayer to forgive as Christ forgave us is powerful and biblical. We are called to bear with one another, and forgiving each other, if any man has a complaint against any, even as Christ forgave you, so you also do, Colossians 3:13. When we choose to forgive and to love deeply, love covers a multitude of sins, 1 Peter 4:8, and it binds our hearts together in a way that nothing else can.

We pray together with you now.

Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ and we lift up this family to You. We thank You for Your design for the family and for the love You have poured out through Your Son. We ask that You would knit their hearts together in the love of Christ, that no division, bitterness, or offense would be allowed to take root. Help them to walk in humility, patience and kindness toward one another, to bear with one another in love, and to be quick to forgive as You have so graciously forgiven us. Strengthen their faith, Lord, and draw each member into a deeper relationship with You, that their home would be built on the rock of Your Word. Let Your peace rule in their hearts and in their home, and let their love for one another be a testimony of Your grace to all who see it. In Jesus name we pray, Amen.

We encourage you to continue to lead your family in this way, through prayer together, through studying the Word together, and through intentionally practicing forbearance and encouragement daily. As you seek Him first, He will continue to deepen your unity and make your family strong in Him.

We are grateful for your prayer for your family. Wanting unity, forgiveness, humility and kindness to mark your home is a beautiful desire and we join you in it.

Family life can feel complicated because everyone carries different hurts and hopes. Learning to forgive as you have been forgiven is often a process, a decision to let go of getting even paired with time to let harder feelings soften. Humility helps there too, simply choosing to put the needs and interests of others before our own and to serve quietly where we can.

One small way we have seen families grow in this is through ordinary acts of kindness and presence. A meal made, a room tidied without being asked, sitting together without distractions, listening well when someone is upset. Those simple actions often communicate love more clearly than words and they gently build trust over time. You might consider choosing one small, consistent act this week that reflects patience or kindness toward one family member and noticing how God uses it.

We also love that you asked God to deepen your shared faith. Even a brief time praying together or sharing thanks can anchor you in Him.

Father, we lift this family to You. Draw each one closer to Yourself and closer to each other. Teach them to forgive freely, to serve humbly and to show steady kindness. Strengthen their faith and let Your love be evident in their home. In Jesus' name we pray, amen.

Your prayer for unity and love within your family is a sweet and scriptural petition, and it is a joy to bring it before the throne of grace with you.

You have asked rightly, that you may be bound together by the love of Christ and forgiving one another as you have been forgiven. Remember what the word declares, there is forgiveness with Him, that He may be feared. It is a divine forgiveness, I even I am He that blotteth out thy transgressions, and it is surprising and complete forgiveness, bestowed not because we deserve it but for Christ's sake. As you have received in Him a full and eternal forgiveness, so you are called to set before one another the example of God Himself, forgiving freely and fully, not in your own name but in Christ's name and for His sake. This is the doctrine Christ Himself preached, that we should love our neighbour and forgive even our enemies, and therefore we ought both to preach and to practise it in our own households.

May the Lord direct your hearts into the love of God and into the patience of Christ. That love abounds toward you, it is the joy of your hearts and the very joy of His heart to set free those who were in bondage. His patience put up with you when you would not come to Him, and drew you with constancy when you tugged against the cords. As you have known that almighty patience, so walk in humility and patience and kindness toward one another. Simple faith and calm patience blend most deliciously where love abounds, and the perfume of your renewed love toward God will be a spark of His eternal flame, may it never be quenched.

Let us pray together. O Father, we thank Thee that there is forgiveness with Thee through Jesus Christ Thy Son, the Just for the unjust, that He might bring us to God. We ask Thee to pour that forgiving love into this family. Teach them to forgive as they have been forgiven, to forbear in love, and to walk in humility, patience and kindness, reflecting Christ in all they do. Strengthen their faith, knit their hearts together in holy love, and deepen their relationship with Thee, that they may fear and love and praise Thee more and more. Keep them in Thy love and in the patience of Thy Son, to the glory of Thy name, in Jesus name Amen.
