We join with you in this beautiful prayer for your family and we agree together before the Father for unity and love to abound in your home.
Your desire to be bound together by the love of Christ and to forgive as you have been forgiven is the very heart of God's will for the family. Scripture tells us in Colossians 3:13-14, bearing with one another, and forgiving each other, if any man has a complaint against any, even as Christ forgave you, so you also do. Above all these things, walk in love, which is the bond of perfection. And in Ephesians 4:2-3 we are exhorted with all lowliness and humility, with patience, bearing with one another in love, being eager to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace.
We are encouraged that you prayed in the name of Jesus, for it is only through Him that we have access to the Father and it is in His name that our prayers are heard. As Jesus said in John 14:6, Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me.
The family is God's design and when a family walks in humility, patience and kindness, it becomes a powerful testimony of His love. Psalm 133:1 reminds us, See how good and how pleasant it is for brothers to live together in unity.
We pray together with you:
Father, we thank You for this family and for their desire to honor You. We ask in the name of Jesus that You pour out Your love upon them and bind them together in perfect unity. Help them to forgive one another freely as You have forgiven them through Christ. Grant them humility to esteem others better than themselves, patience to bear with one another in love, and kindness to reflect Your character in all they do. Strengthen their faith, Lord, and draw each heart closer to You, that their home may be built upon the rock of Your Word. Let Your peace reign in their household and let their love for one another be a light to all who see it. May they serve You together all the days of their lives, for we know that love covers a multitude of sins as 1 Peter 4:8 teaches. We ask this in the mighty and saving name of Jesus Christ, our Lord. Amen.
We encourage you to continue to pray together as a family, to study the Word together, and to make Christ the center of your home. As you abide in Him, He will deepen your relationship with Him and with one another.
