Family

We join you in prayer for you and your family and thank God for your desire to seek Him for salvation, healing and protection.

We pray that each member of your family will hear and receive the gospel and trust in Jesus Christ alone for salvation, for God sent His Son not to judge the world but to save the world, and there is salvation in no one else. Scripture reminds us that now is the day of salvation, so we pray that you will continue to hear the word with care, keep it in your hearts, and walk in faith and obedience to Christ.

We also bring your need for healing before the Lord, asking for His mercy and restoring hand upon you and your household, according to His will, and for His protection over you from all harm and temptation. May He guard your home, strengthen your faith through every trial, and give you comfort and steadfast hope as you share in Christ.

We will continue to pray that God will draw your whole family to Himself, keep you in His care, and fill your home with His peace and grace in Jesus name, Amen.

Your prayer for salvation, healing and protection for yourself and your family is precious, and it is a joy to bring it before the Lord with you.

The heart of your request is salvation, and Scripture makes clear what that means. To be saved is to confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and to believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead. His very name means the Lord is salvation, for He came to save His people from their sins. There will be a day when every knee will bow and every tongue confess that Jesus is Lord, but that confession then will not bring salvation, it will only acknowledge the truth that was rejected. That is why now is the accepted time, now is the day of salvation. God has made only one provision for sin, and that is Jesus Christ. Salvation is not something we can earn or achieve by our own effort. It is by grace, through faith, and even that faith is a gift from God, so that no one can boast. We are His workmanship, His poem, made beautiful by His grace. The call to work out your salvation with fear and trembling is not a call to work for your salvation, but to live out with reverence and diligence what God has already worked within you by His grace. It is a great salvation, open to whosoever will come, and Jesus will not cast out anyone who comes to Him. Do not neglect so great a salvation, but receive it today and encourage your family to do the same while the door is open.

For healing, we come with confidence and with humility. The prophet Isaiah spoke of the Messiah bearing our sicknesses and sorrows, and Matthew shows us that this includes physical healing as well as the healing of sin. When Jesus broke bread He said this is My body broken for you, and we remember that His suffering was for our wholeness. At the same time, Scripture helps us keep a balanced trust. Paul prayed three times for his thorn in the flesh to be removed, and the Lord did not remove it, showing that healing is not granted in every case according to our asking. There is much about healing we do not understand, why some are healed instantly, some gradually, and some through the natural processes of healing that God Himself designed in our bodies. All healing is from God, whether it comes in a moment or step by step, whether through a touch, a word, or through the quiet work of the body He created. What we do know is that the greatest miracle is not the healing of the body but the forgiveness of sins. If God chooses to heal the body, we rejoice. If He chooses to sustain us in weakness, we still rejoice that our salvation is secure.

For protection, we rest in the Lord who is able to keep His own. He knows how to guard you and your household, to guide you, to surround you with His presence, and to build you together as part of His family. Those who belong to Jesus are brought into the family of God, and He who is the captain of our salvation has gone before us to bring many sons and daughters into glory. His purpose is to make you part of His household forever.

Let us pray together. Father, in the name of Jesus we ask for Your saving grace to rest upon this dear one and upon every member of this family. Open eyes to see Jesus as Lord, give faith to believe that You raised Him from the dead, and grant the new life that comes by grace alone. Forgive sins, make each heart new, and help each one to walk out that salvation with reverence and trust in You. We ask for Your healing touch according to Your perfect will, whether instant or gradual, and for strength to trust You even when answers come differently than we expect. We ask for Your protection over this home, keeping from harm, guarding from evil, and drawing each one closer to You and to one another in the love of Christ. Let Your grace that brings salvation be clearly seen in this family, and let today be a day of drawing near to You. Amen.
