Silas
Beloved of All
Thank you for sharing this burden for your family. We are joining you in prayer for the salvation of your loved ones and for this marriage in crisis.
The greatest need any person has is salvation, and God has made only one provision for it, through Jesus Christ. Simply believing that God exists is not salvation. Scripture makes clear that salvation comes when a person believes into Jesus, entering a vital, life changing relationship with Him. That relationship transforms the heart and the life. The gospel is the power of God to save everyone who trusts in Him, and Jesus has authority to break bondage and make a person new. We are praying that your family members will turn from simply knowing about God to truly trusting into Christ and receiving eternal life.
God continues to extend His love and offer of salvation even when people have said no many times. As long as there is concern and prayer for a soul, it is a sign that God is still drawing that person and the door is still open. True conversion always shows itself in repentance and change, a turning around that is seen in how a person lives. We are asking God to bring that kind of genuine turning to each one you mentioned, that they would repent, believe in Jesus alone for forgiveness, and walk in new life.
We also hear your heart for this marriage. God designed marriage so that a man and a woman become one, a deep and lasting unity. It is meant to be a lifelong covenant, and His desire is for reconciliation and faithful love, not for divorce. We are praying that the husband who is considering divorce will turn away from that path, that God will soften his heart and renew his love for his wife, and that both husband and wife will together turn to the Lord. We ask that God will heal what is broken, teach them to love each other as He loves, and build their home on Christ.
May the Lord give you strength as you keep interceding, and may He draw each of these loved ones to Himself and restore this marriage for His glory.
