We join with you in lifting up this family before the throne of grace in Jesus' name, and we thank you for bringing their deep grief and need before us so we can seek God's will together.
Our hearts ache for this family as they grieve the loss of their mother. The loss of a mother leaves a profound void, and it is understandable that grief can feel overwhelming and cause a family to spiral as they try to cope with such sorrow. We are reminded of God's tender care for those who mourn, for it is written Blessed are those who mourn, for they shall be comforted Matthew 5:4 and The Lord is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit Psalm 34:18. He is the Father of mercies and God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our affliction 2 Corinthians 1:3-4, and He heals the broken in heart, and binds up their wounds Psalm 147:3. We pray that this family will feel His nearness now and know that He will wipe away from them every tear Revelation 21:4.
We also hear your heart for their salvation, which is the greatest need of all, and we gladly pray for it. We noticed your request did not mention the name of Jesus, and we want to gently share why His name is so essential. It is only through Jesus Christ that we have access to God and can be saved. Jesus Himself said I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me John 14:6. There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved Acts 4:12. To be saved we must believe in our hearts that God raised Jesus from the dead and confess with our mouth that Jesus is Lord Romans 10:9, for God so loved the world, that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish, but have eternal life John 3:16. Without Jesus there is no lasting hope in grief, but in Him there is forgiveness, eternal life, and the promise that death is not the end for those who belong to Him.
So we pray together for this grieving family.
Father in heaven, we bring this precious family before You in the name of Jesus Christ. Lord, You see their sorrow and the way grief has caused them to spiral. We ask that You surround them with Your peace that surpasses all understanding and draw each one close to You. Comfort them as only You can, remind them that You are near to the brokenhearted, and give them strength for each day. Where there is confusion, bring clarity, where there is despair, bring hope, and where there is brokenness, bring healing. We pray especially for their salvation, that each member of this family would hear the gospel, believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and call upon His name to be saved. Open their eyes to Your love and Your offer of eternal life, and lead them to a Bible believing church where they can be supported and discipled. We ask that out of this great loss You would bring redemption and that this family would be restored and united in You. We ask all this in the saving and comforting name of Jesus Christ, our only hope, Amen.

We join you in bringing this grieving family before the throne of grace, and we have borne their sorrow and their need of salvation upon our hearts in prayer.
We entreat the Lord to let His healing virtue flow down to them in this hour of deep affliction. There is an abundance of healing power in Jesus Christ and His salvation, for the leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations, and even the least thing about Christ is healing to the wounded spirit. May the Sun of Righteousness rise upon this household with healing in His wings, to change the life blood and make the nature other than it was before, and to bind up those who are spiraling under the weight of grief. When our own strength fails, our strength is to sit still while God arises and becomes our salvation in the time of trouble.
And we pray above all that each soul in this family may be brought to look unto Jesus and be saved. Salvation is of the Lord alone, without money and without price, and the Scripture says, Whoever believes on Him shall not be ashamed. What is believing on Him but to trust in Him, to leave the whole matter of present and eternal salvation with Him in unquestioning confidence. It is not to believe about Him, but to believe on Him, the Person whom God has laid in Zion for a foundation. How simple and how instantaneous is that way of salvation, for He has said, Look unto me, and be ye saved, all the ends of the earth.
We pray that this affliction, which now teaches them that beside the Lord there is none else, may be the very means by which He draws them to Himself. May He call them one by one and then use that calling to bring the rest into the gospel net, that this may yet be a rejoicing family because it is a renewed family, and that they may find that to see Jesus is to see salvation itself, for He Himself is salvation.
Heavenly Father, look in mercy upon this family in their loss. Forgive their sins, heal their broken hearts, and grant unto each of them repentance toward God and faith in our Lord Jesus Christ, that they may not perish but have everlasting life. Let Thy honor be engaged to save the meanest among them who trusts Thy Son, and keep them by Thy grace until they stand without spot or wrinkle before Thee. We pray that God in His mercy will meet this family in their deep grief over the loss of their mother. Loss brings great sorrow and can leave hearts feeling overwhelmed and without direction, and we ask that the God of all comfort will draw near to each member of this family, give them true comfort in their affliction, and keep them from being overcome by despair.
We also join you in praying earnestly for their salvation. We pray that in this season of sorrow they will see their need for Christ and turn to Him. Scripture reminds us that godly sorrow works repentance unto salvation, and that affliction endured with Christ can become a means of comfort and salvation. May the Lord use even this painful loss to open their eyes to the hope that is found only in Jesus Christ, for there is salvation in no other name. We pray that each one will hear the gospel, believe on the Lord Jesus, and receive the eternal life He alone gives, knowing that to gain the whole world and lose ones own soul is of no profit.

We are joining you in prayer for this family in their grief. The sorrow that comes with losing a mother is deep and natural, and when that loss causes the whole family to feel as if they are coming apart, it shows how profoundly God made family bonds and how heavy that loss feels. Scripture acknowledges that kind of sorrow. In our own grief we often find that much of the pain is for ourselves, for the absence and the love we miss, and the Lord understands that ache and meets us in it.
We are praying above all for their salvation, because that is every person's greatest need. Comfort for today matters, but eternal life matters more. It is better to enter heaven with wounds and sorrow still healing than to have temporary relief without Christ. Jesus himself is our salvation. His very name means the Lord saves, for He came to save His people from their sins. To confess Him as Lord and to submit to Him now is to receive eternal life. This salvation is not within our own ability to achieve. God has placed it outside our capacity so that it rests entirely on His grace and His work through Jesus, received by believing that work, and even the faith to believe is His gift to us. There is no other mediator we need, we can come directly to Him.
Scripture urges us not to receive the grace of God in vain and not to turn aside His offer. Now is the accepted time, today is the day of salvation. We are asking God to use even this painful season to open their hearts, that they would not put off His call but would receive His grace today while He is drawing them.
Jesus taught that whoever does the will of God is His brother and sister and mother. He showed that the bond in the family of God is deeper than even blood ties. When some in a family come to faith and others do not, there can be alienation, but when a family comes together to the Lord, they enter a new and tighter bond in Christ where love and fellowship are sustained by Him. It is a beautiful thing when a whole family loves the Lord and seeks Him together. We are praying that this grieving family would be brought into that family of God, that each one would come to know Jesus, and that their love for Him would become first and greatest, even above love for one another, so that He can heal and hold them together in a new way.
