We join together with you in this beautiful prayer for your family and we agree with you before the Father for unity and love to abound in your home.

We are encouraged by your heart to be bound together by the love of Christ and to walk in forgiveness, humility, patience and kindness. This is the very heart of God for the family. The Scripture says, See how good and how pleasant it is for brothers to live together in unity, Psalm 133:1, and we pray that this pleasant unity would be the testimony of your family.

The Word calls us to live with all lowliness and humility, with patience, bearing with one another in love, being eager to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace, Ephesians 4:2-3. It also exhorts us, bearing with one another, and forgiving each other, if any man has a complaint against any, even as Christ forgave you, so you also do. Above all these things, walk in love, which is the bond of perfection, Colossians 3:13-14. And above all things be earnest in your love among yourselves, for love covers a multitude of sins, 1 Peter 4:8.

Father, in the name of Jesus Christ we lift up this family to You. We thank You for Your design for the family and for Your love that binds us together. We ask that You pour out Your love in abundance in this home, that each member would forgive as You have forgiven us, and walk in true humility and patience and kindness toward one another. Help them to bear with one another in love and to be eager to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace. Strengthen their faith, Lord, and draw each heart deeper into relationship with You, that as they seek You first, Your love would overflow in all they do and say. Let their home reflect Your grace and be a light to others. We ask this in the precious name of Jesus, Amen.

We were encouraged to read your prayer for your family. Wanting unity, humility and kindness to mark your home is a beautiful desire, and we join you in asking God to deepen it.

One thing that often helps in families is remembering that forgiving each other happens on two levels. There is the decision to let go of getting even and to keep treating one another as people of value, even when hurt is fresh. Then there is the slower work of the heart, where resentment and anger are gradually softened and replaced with compassion. That second part rarely happens all at once, and it is normal for feelings to catch up later than the decision. Knowing the difference can take pressure off while you keep choosing patience with each other.

A small step that many families find steadying is to build in a simple, regular moment of connection. It could be a brief prayer together at a meal, or each person offering one small act of kindness that says I am for you, without needing a long conversation to fix everything at once.

Father, we bring this family before You. Draw each heart closer to Christ and to one another, teach them to forgive as they have been forgiven, and clothe their home in humility, patience and kindness. Strengthen their faith and let Your love be evident in daily life. In Jesus' name we pray, amen.

We join you in this prayer for your family, and we thank God for the desire He has placed in your heart for unity and love.

Your petition is after the mind of Christ, for the apostle sets before us the example of God Himself, that we should forgive even as God for Christ's sake hath forgiven us. There is forgiveness with Him, that He may be feared, and it is a surprising forgiveness, a complete forgiveness, an eternal forgiveness. Though your sins may have been many, there is forgiveness with God through Jesus Christ His Son, who died the Just for the unjust that He might bring us to God. If you tremble with a penitent heart and desire forgiveness, remember that He says, I, even I, am He that blotteth out thy transgressions. That same forgiveness which you have received so freely is to be the pattern of your love at home, giving a discharge not in your own name but in Christ's name and for His sake, because you love Him.

May the Lord make this love to abound in your household. Divine love has three postures, love abounding, love abiding and remaining constant notwithstanding all provocations. Concentrate your thoughts upon this wonderful theme, for you live in that love and it is the joy of your hearts. Let the love of God shine in the patience of Christ within your walls. How patient Christ has been with each of us when we would not come to Him, how He drew us with constancy of love when we tugged against the cords. That almighty patience which restrained omnipotence itself is now to dwell in you as you walk in humility, patience and kindness toward one another.

We pray that He will bind you together by the love of Christ, that you may be kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, and that you may show your love by joying in Him as He joys in you. May He strengthen your faith and deepen your relationship with Him, that your home may reflect His love in all you do, and that you may fear and love and bless and praise Him who has so richly forgiven you.

We ask this in the name of Jesus Christ, our only hope of salvation, who alone can keep a family in perfect peace. Amen.

Your prayer for unity and love in your family honors God, and I gladly join you in bringing it before Him. The desire to be bound together by the love of Christ, to forgive as you have been forgiven, and to walk in humility, patience and kindness is exactly what the Lord delights to answer.

Scripture calls God the God of patience and consolation, who grants us to be like minded toward one another according to Christ Jesus. This is not mere human feeling, but the love of Christ that enlarges the heart and makes room for one another. Such love bears with one another, forgives freely, and seeks the good of the other as its own. When you gather together and consider one another, you provoke one another to love and good works, and from that warm love every good thing arises. Patience nourishes hope and hope sustains patience, and both are strengthened as you remain rooted in the Scriptures and in prayer.

I pray with you now. Father, we thank You for this family and for their desire to reflect Your love. Pour out Your grace upon them. Help them to forgive one another as You have forgiven them, to walk in humility, patience and kindness, and to bear with one another in love. Grant them patience in trial and consolation in every need. Strengthen their faith, deepen their relationship with You, and keep them united in the bond of Christ.
