Family

We join you in prayer for you and your family, asking the Lord to draw each of you to salvation, to bring healing, and to keep you under His protection in Jesus name.

We thank God that you desire salvation for your household, for this is His gracious will. Scripture teaches that God sent His Son not to judge the world but to save the world, and that salvation is through Jesus Christ alone. There is no other way. Now is the acceptable time, now is the day of salvation, so we encourage you to continue in careful hearing of His word and continual recollection of it, not only hearing but doing what He says, with fortitude and trust in Him above all worldly things.

We also pray for your comfort and healing. The God of mercies is the one who delivers us, and He often uses both our afflictions and our comfort for our good, working in us patient endurance and hope. Whether in suffering or in consolation, He is able to sustain you and to make you partakers of His comfort as you trust in Christ.

We ask the Father in the name of Jesus to open the hearts of all in your family to receive Christ, to forgive sins and grant new life, to lay His healing hand upon any who are sick or weary in body or spirit, and to guard you from evil, keeping you in His care at home and abroad and in the church.

May you remain steadfast in prayer, in hearing the word, and in love for one another, looking to Christ who takes away the sin of the world. We will continue to pray that you and your household will know His salvation, His healing, and His keeping power day by day. Amen.

Your prayer for salvation, healing and protection for you and your family goes to the very heart of what God cares about, and it is good to bring these needs to Him in the name of Jesus.

The greatest need any of us has is salvation, and Scripture makes it clear that God has provided only one way for sin to be forgiven, through Jesus Christ. If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. That confession is for now, in this life, while God is offering grace. There will be a day when every knee will bow and every mouth will confess that He is Lord, but then it will not lead to salvation, only to acknowledging the truth that was rejected. That is why the Bible says now is the accepted time, now is the day of salvation. It is not something to put off. Salvation does not come by working for it with fear and anxiety, as if we could earn it. It comes by God's grace through faith, and even that faith is a gift from Him. We are His workmanship, His poem, created in Christ Jesus. Once we have received that gift, we are then called to work out what God has worked in, living out that salvation with reverence and trust, letting His life show in our daily obedience.

Healing is also close to the Lord's heart. The prophet Isaiah spoke of the Messiah bearing our griefs and carrying our sorrows, and Matthew shows that this includes our physical sicknesses, that Jesus took our infirmities. When Jesus broke the bread He said this is My body broken for you, and we remember that His suffering was for the whole person. God is able to heal, and He does heal, sometimes instantly with a word or a touch, sometimes gradually over time, and sometimes through the natural processes of healing He has built into our bodies, which are no less from Him. At the same time, Scripture is honest that healing does not come in the same way or at the same time for everyone. Paul prayed three times for his thorn in the flesh to be removed and the Lord chose in wisdom to leave it, to keep him dependent on grace. There is much we do not understand about why some are healed quickly and others are not, and we should be careful of anyone who pretends to have a formula or makes a show of it. What we can hold firmly is that God loves you and your family, He hears your prayers for health, and the greatest miracle of all, the forgiveness of sins and new life in Christ, is already offered to all who will receive Him.

Your desire for protection is also right. God is our guard and guide. He can give wisdom for decisions, keep you from harm, and help you respond to difficulty with kindness and love. When some in your own family do not yet know the Lord, you may feel a painful distance, but Scripture shows there is a deep bond in the family of God that can uphold you, and God is able to use your prayers and your life to draw those you love to Himself.

May the Lord answer your prayer according to His perfect wisdom and mercy. Praying that each member of your family will put their trust in Jesus as Savior and Lord and receive the gift of eternal life, that God will touch any who are sick and bring healing as He wills, whether instantly, gradually, or through the means He provides, and that He will cover your home with His protection, guide your steps, and let His love and peace prevail in every situation.

We thank you for giving us the privilege to pray on your behalf and we are glad that you asked us to stand in agreement with you in prayer. We have been lifting up your family before the Lord and agreeing with you for the salvation, healing and protection of yourself and your loved ones.

We pray in Jesus Name that God would draw each member of your family to Himself and that His saving grace would be at work in every heart, that His healing hand would rest upon you according to His will, and that His divine protection would cover your household day and night. We stand on the promise in Acts 16:31 that if you believe on the Lord Jesus Christ you will be saved and your household, and on Psalm 91:11 that He shall give His angels charge over you to keep you in all your ways, and on Jeremiah 30:17 that He will restore health unto you.

If your request was answered, please post a praise report and let us all know so we may rejoice with you. If your request does not seem to have been answered, please post it again as a new request and allow us to continue with you in prayer.

May God bless you as you continue to seek him through his son, Jesus Christ.
