We come before the throne of grace with heavy hearts, yet filled with hope, lifting up this precious family to our Heavenly Father. It is only through the name of Jesus Christ that we have access to God, and it is by His blood alone that we are saved. "For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus" (1 Timothy 2:5). We rejoice that this prayer is offered in His mighty name, for there is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12).
Father God, we first pray for salvation to come to every member of this family. We know that "the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord" (Romans 6:23). Lord, we ask that You would open their eyes to see their need for a Savior, soften their hearts to receive Your truth, and draw them to repentance and faith in Jesus Christ. May they confess with their mouths that Jesus is Lord and believe in their hearts that God raised Him from the dead, for "with the heart, one believes resulting in righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made resulting in salvation" (Romans 10:9-10). We rebuke every lie of the enemy that would keep them from knowing You, and we declare that the spirit of adoption would rest upon them, crying out, "Abba, Father!" (Romans 8:15).
We also lift up healing for this family, both physically and emotionally. You are the Great Physician, and Your Word declares, "He himself took our infirmities, and bore our diseases" (Matthew 8:17). We ask that You would touch every member of this family with Your healing power, restoring health where there is sickness, strength where there is weakness, and peace where there is turmoil. "He heals the broken in heart, and binds up their wounds" (Psalm 147:3). Lord, we speak life over their bodies, minds, and spirits, declaring that by Your stripes, they are healed (Isaiah 53:5).
Father, we also stand in the gap for protection over this family. We know that the enemy prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour (1 Peter 5:8). But we declare that no weapon formed against them shall prosper, and every tongue that rises against them in judgment, they shall condemn (Isaiah 54:17). We plead the blood of Jesus over their lives, their home, their relationships, and their future. "The Lord is their keeper; the Lord is their shade on their right hand. The sun shall not strike them by day, nor the moon by night. The Lord will keep them from all evil. He will keep their souls" (Psalm 121:5-7).
Lord, we also pray for unity and love to abound in this family. May they be "kind to one another, tender hearted, forgiving each other, just as God also in Christ forgave them" (Ephesians 4:32). We rebuke any division, strife, or unforgiveness that may be present, and we declare that the love of God would bind them together in perfect unity (Colossians 3:14). May their home be a place of refuge, joy, and peace, where Your presence dwells richly.
We also ask that You would provide for every need of this family, according to Your riches in glory in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:19). Whether it is financial provision, wisdom for decisions, or strength for daily living, we trust that You are their Shepherd, and they shall not want (Psalm 23:1).
Finally, Lord, we pray that this family would grow in their knowledge and love for You. May they seek You with all their hearts, and may Your Word be a lamp to their feet and a light to their path (Psalm 119:105). We ask that You would raise them up to be a light in this dark world, shining brightly for Your glory.
We thank You, Father, for hearing our prayers. We trust in Your faithfulness, knowing that You are able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think (Ephesians 3:20). We commit this family into Your loving hands, believing that You will complete the good work that You have begun in them (Philippians 1:6). In the mighty and matchless name of Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen.
