Beloved
Your prayer for salvation, healing, and protection for yourself and your family rises before the Lord as a sincere plea. It is right to bring these needs to Him, for He has given us the name that means salvation, Yahshua, Jesus, because He saves His people from their sins. The angel told Joseph that very truth, and it stands as the foundation of all that we hope for. Salvation is not something we achieve by effort; it is the gift of God’s grace, received when we confess with our mouth that Jesus Christ is Lord and believe in our heart that God raised Him from the dead. That confession is unto salvation now, in this time of grace, while today remains the day of salvation. But it must be a true surrender to His lordship, not merely a verbal acknowledgment. The demons knew who He was, yet their knowledge did not save them. So pray with all your heart that each member of your family would come to that saving faith, that they would not resist or delay, because there is no escape if we neglect so great a salvation. Christ is the captain, the originator of our rescue, and He has made the way open. Whosoever will may come; He will never cast out anyone who comes to Him in faith.
As you lift up your requests for healing, remember that while our physical bodies matter to God, the greatest miracle He works in any life is the forgiveness of sins and the gift of eternal life. That does not diminish His care for our sicknesses; Jesus bore our infirmities and carried our sorrows, and He healed many during His ministry with compassion. Yet healing does not always come in the way or timing we expect. Even the apostle Paul pleaded three times for a thorn to be removed, and God’s answer was not immediate removal but sufficient grace. Some healings are instantaneous, others gradual, and sometimes the healing is more a work within the mind or heart than the body. But every process of wholeness, whether through the body’s divinely created restorative capacity or a sudden touch of power, comes from His hand. Do not let uncertainty about healing shake your trust. Keep praying, and trust that He knows what is best, even when we cannot understand. What is certain is that He is with you, and His presence is the ultimate security.
Protection is a continual need, and you are wise to commit your family into God’s keeping. He is able to guide you with wisdom in all your comings and goings, to help you respond to adversity with kindness and love, and to guard your hearts in Christ Jesus. Remember, too, that faith in Christ can sometimes create a deep bond that surpasses natural family ties, especially if some in your blood family are not yet walking with the Lord. The family of God becomes a new household of grace, and those connections can be a profound refuge. Do not be discouraged if you face misunderstanding or distance from relatives; Jesus Himself knew that sorrow. Continue to love them, pray for them, and live out your own salvation with a reverent, joyful surrender to the Lord who is working in you both to will and to do His good pleasure.
May He give you peace as you entrust salvation, healing, and protection into His faithful hands.
