Family

We hear your heartfelt cry for salvation, healing, and protection over yourself and your family, and we join you in lifting these precious needs before the throne of grace. It is only through the name of Jesus Christ that we have access to the Father, and it is by His blood alone that we are redeemed, healed, and shielded from the schemes of the enemy. "For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus" (1 Timothy 2:5). If any in your family have not yet surrendered their lives to Jesus, we pray fervently for their salvation, for "if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved" (Romans 10:9).

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, interceding for this family. Lord, we ask that You would draw each member to Yourself, softening hearts and opening eyes to the truth of the Gospel. Break every chain of unbelief, rebellion, or worldly distraction that keeps them from knowing You as Savior and Lord. We declare that "the eyes of the blind will be opened, and the ears of the deaf will be unstopped" (Isaiah 35:5) so that they may see and hear Your call. Father, let Your Holy Spirit convict of sin, righteousness, and judgment, and lead them to repentance and faith in Christ.

We also stand in the gap for healing, spiritual, emotional, and physical. You are the God who heals, Jehovah-Rapha, and Your Word declares, "He himself took our infirmities, and bore our sicknesses" (Matthew 8:17). We claim this promise over every member of this family. Where there is sickness, pain, or brokenness, we ask for Your healing touch. Where there is anxiety, fear, or despair, we pray for Your peace that surpasses all understanding to guard their hearts and minds in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7). Lord, restore what has been lost, mend what is broken, and renew strength where there is weakness.

For protection, we plead the blood of Jesus over this family. Your Word assures us that "no weapon that is formed against you will prevail" (Isaiah 54:17), and we take hold of this promise. Father, surround them with Your angels, as You have commanded, to encamp around those who fear You (Psalm 34:7). Shield them from the attacks of the enemy, whether in the form of temptation, deception, or physical harm. Guard their minds from lies, their hearts from bitterness, and their homes from division. Let Your presence be a fortress around them, and may they dwell in the secret place of the Most High, abiding under the shadow of the Almighty (Psalm 91:1).

We also lift up any areas where this family may be walking outside of Your will, whether knowingly or unknowingly. Father, if there are sins that need to be confessed, idolatry, unforgiveness, bitterness, or any form of disobedience, we ask that You reveal them and grant the grace to repent. "If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness" (1 John 1:9). Let there be no hindrance in their relationship with You or with one another.

Lord, we pray for unity in this family, that they would be "knit together in love" (Colossians 2:2) and that their home would be a place where Your presence dwells. May they encourage one another in faith, bear each other’s burdens, and walk in the light as You are in the light (1 John 1:7). Strengthen marriages, parent-child relationships, and sibling bonds to reflect Your love and grace. Let this family be a testimony of Your faithfulness to the world around them.

We declare over this family that they are "more than conquerors through him who loved us" (Romans 8:37). No matter what trials or challenges they face, we stand on Your promise that "all things work together for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to his purpose" (Romans 8:28). Father, let them experience Your goodness, Your provision, and Your power in every area of their lives.

In the precious name of Jesus, we pray, believing that You hear us and will answer according to Your perfect will. May this family walk in the fullness of Your salvation, healing, and protection, bringing glory to Your name. Amen.

Thank you for sharing your heart with us, and for letting us stand with you in prayer for your family. We’re joining you, asking God to move in every area you’ve lifted up, salvation, healing, and protection.

Sometimes the weight of those needs can feel heavy when we carry them alone, but God often wraps His care around us through other believers. One of the most steadying gifts you can give your family right now is to invite a few trusted people from your local church, perhaps a pastor, a small group, or a faithful prayer partner, to pray with you and for your household regularly. Knowing others are bringing your family by name before the Lord can ease the sense of isolation and keep hope kindled when answers seem slow. If you’re not connected yet in that way, it may be a gentle step to reach out.

And as you intercede for them, don’t underestimate the quiet power of simply praying together as a family, even in small ways, a brief prayer before bed or at the dinner table can plant seeds of faith and offer a tangible reminder that you’re all held in God’s care.

Lord Jesus, we lift this family to You. You know each heart here, those who already trust You and those who have not yet. Draw them all into the fullness of Your love and salvation. We ask for Your healing touch on any sickness of body, mind, or spirit, and for Your protective hand over their comings and goings. Quiet their fears and steady their souls with Your presence. In the name of Jesus, amen.

Your prayer is one most precious unto the Lord: you seek salvation, healing, and protection for yourself and your household. It is a petition after His own heart, for He desireth not the death of any, but that all should come to repentance and know His great salvation. Let me point you afresh to the only fountain where these mercies flow, Jesus Christ and Him crucified.

Salvation is God’s own work, devised by His infinite wisdom and provided without money and without price. Hear the Scripture: “Whosoever believeth on Him shall not be ashamed.” Faith is simply looking unto Christ, trusting in His person and finished work, leaving the whole matter of your soul in unquestioning confidence upon Him. It is not your tears, your prayers, your reformations; it is Christ alone. Salvation from sin, its guilt, its power, its eternal penalty, is found in no other. I charge you, look unto Him and be ye saved, all the ends of your household. This is the common salvation, free to every soul who will receive it.

And what of healing? Christ is the tree of life, and even the very leaves are for the healing of the nations. Not only His great atoning sacrifice, but every least thing about Him carries virtue. The hem of His garment can still make whole. Bring your wounded, sin-sick loved ones beneath His shadow, and there is abundant healing power for body, soul, and spirit. He changes the lifeblood, purges the evil, and makes the nature new. That freshness which belongs to the heaven-bound is the work of these healing leaves.

As for your family, plead the promise that a jailer’s whole house believed and was baptised, rejoicing in God. The Lord often calls one and makes that one a spiritual decoy to draw the rest. He hath a tender love for the little ones; infants compose a great part of His family above. Cast yourself and all your dear ones upon the Saviour with bold humility. None of you need perish; His arms are wide enough to enfold the chief of sinners and the smallest babe.

Therefore, continue in prayer, yet mingle it with faith. Let your own heart first rest upon Jesus as your salvation, and then make that salvation common by speaking of it, living it, and rejoicing in it before your household. The God of all grace will hear the cry of His children, for His honour is engaged to save the meanest of His sheep. May you soon sing with Simeon: “Mine eyes have seen Thy salvation,” and may your whole family know the joy of that divine deliverance, united in time and in eternity.
