Family

We come before the throne of grace with heavy hearts, lifting up your family in earnest prayer. The Word of God reminds us in Jeremiah 29:11, "For I know the thoughts that I think toward you,” says Yahweh, “thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future." We stand on this promise, believing that the Lord has a perfect plan for each member of your household, even in the midst of trials and uncertainties.

First and foremost, we pray for salvation within your family. There is no greater gift than the saving knowledge of Jesus Christ, for Acts 4:12 declares, "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved!" We ask that the Holy Spirit would move powerfully in the hearts of your loved ones, drawing them to repentance and faith in Christ. May they come to know the depth of His love and the freedom found only in Him. If there are those in your family who have not yet surrendered their lives to Jesus, we pray they would be convicted of their need for a Savior and respond in faith. Let the light of Christ shine brightly in their lives, breaking every chain of darkness and unbelief.

We also lift up healing for your family, spiritually, emotionally, and physically. The Lord is our healer, as Exodus 15:26 proclaims, "I am Yahweh who heals you." We pray for restoration in every area of brokenness, whether it be sickness, emotional wounds, or relational strife. May the Great Physician touch each one of you with His healing hand, bringing wholeness and peace. We declare that by His stripes, you are healed (Isaiah 53:5), and we stand in faith for complete restoration.

Protection is another vital need for your family, and we take comfort in knowing that the Lord is our refuge and fortress (Psalm 91:2). We pray against every scheme of the enemy, asking that God would surround your family with His angels, shielding you from harm, temptation, and spiritual attack. May His presence be a constant guard over your home, your minds, and your hearts. We rebuke any spirit of fear, anxiety, or division, declaring that perfect love casts out all fear (1 John 4:18).

In all these things, we encourage you to remain steadfast in prayer and in the Word. James 5:16 reminds us, "Confess your offenses to one another, and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The insistent prayer of a righteous person is powerfully effective." Do not grow weary in interceding for your family, for the Lord hears the cries of His children. Trust in His timing and His ways, even when the answers are not yet visible.

We also want to gently remind you of the importance of living out your faith in a way that reflects Christ. Your testimony can be a powerful witness to your family. Let your life be a light that points them to Jesus, showing them the love, grace, and truth of the Gospel. Pray for opportunities to share the hope that is within you, and trust that the Lord will open doors for conversations about faith.

Let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You with hearts full of faith, lifting up this precious family to You. We thank You for Your love and Your promises, which never fail. Lord, we ask that You would move mightily in the lives of each family member, drawing them to salvation in Jesus Christ. Soften their hearts to receive Your truth, and let them experience the transforming power of Your grace. We pray for healing, spiritually, emotionally, and physically, declaring that by Your stripes, they are healed. Touch them with Your healing hand, Lord, and restore what has been broken.

We also ask for Your divine protection over this family. Surround them with Your angels, shield them from the schemes of the enemy, and guard their hearts and minds in Christ Jesus. Let Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, reign in their home. Father, we rebuke every spirit of fear, division, and unbelief, and we declare that Your perfect love casts out all fear.

Strengthen this family in their faith, Lord. Help them to stand firm in prayer and in Your Word, trusting in Your timing and Your ways. May their lives be a testimony of Your goodness and grace, drawing others to You. We ask all these things in the mighty name of Jesus, for there is power in His name, and it is only through Him that we have access to You. Amen.

Thank you for letting us stand with you in this prayer. It’s a gift when someone carries the people they love to the throne of grace, and we are honored to add our voices to yours.

While you wait and trust, you might try something simple but steadying: set aside even a few minutes each day to pray through your family members by name. You could gather everyone who’s willing, maybe around a meal or before bed, or begin on your own and let that quiet habit grow. Name each person and entrust their salvation, healing, and safety to Jesus again. There is no pressure to find perfect words, just the honest offering of your heart.

You don’t have to carry this alone. If your church has a small group, a prayer chain, or just a trusted friend who will keep confidences, ask them to join you regularly. We’ve seen how much it steadies a person to know others are praying specifically. It reminds us we’re part of a body, and that Christ himself is our healing and shield.

We pray with you now:

Jesus, we lift this whole family into Your hands. For each one who does not yet know You, we ask for the miracle of salvation, draw them with patient, relentless love. Bring healing deep into whatever is wounded, whether in body, mind, or relationship. We ask for Your protection around them, a strong defense against every scheme of the enemy. Strengthen this dear one to persevere in prayer, and grant a quiet confidence that You are working even when the answers are still hidden. Amen.

It is well that your prayer rises for your whole household; it is an instinct of grace to begin at home, to yearn first over those gathered around your own table and hearth. This is according to the mind of Christ, who wills us to do good unto all, but specially unto those of our own kindred. Pray on, then, and faint not, for the Lord delights to answer such cries.

Yet mark well what that salvation is which you implore. The common salvation, once delivered to the saints, is not a trifle to be assumed, nor a birthright to be inherited by the mere accident of family ties. It is deliverance from the guilt of sin, from the power of sin, and from the wrath of God which abides upon the unforgiven. This salvation comes to no man by his own wit; none perceives the Lord’s Christ except the Spirit draw him and open his eyes, as old Simeon beheld the Babe in the temple and knew Him thereby. Prize, then, every soft monition of the Spirit; yield to His teaching, and flee from every hope that springs not from grace alone.

Be assured that this salvation is all of grace from first to last. By grace you are saved, through faith, and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God. Let no thought creep in that your tears, your prayers, or your amended life can contribute a pennyweight to the price; it is without money and without price, milk and wine for the fainting soul, freely offered. Look unto Jesus, and be ye saved, for He is God and there is none else. Bring your family with you in faithful prayer, but remember each must look for himself. The promise is to you and to your children, yet each heart must know its own bitterness, each eye must see the King in His beauty.

For healing and protection, cast yourselves upon that same sovereign care. The Tree of Life which stands in the Paradise of God bears leaves for the healing of the nations, and even now its virtue reaches down to wounded spirits in this vale of tears. He who numbers your hairs will guard your going out and coming in; none can pluck you from His hand when once you are made His. Only take heed that you seek first His kingdom and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added unto you. The gospel is your shield and your exceedingly great reward. Lay hold upon eternal life, and let your household see you walking in the light of it, that they too may taste and see that the Lord is gracious.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

You ask for salvation, healing, and protection, and rightly so, for these are the very gifts God desires to pour out. But let no one suppose that the asking alone is sufficient for salvation. No one part is enough, there must be first a careful hearing of the word, then a continual recollection of it, then fortitude to endure, then contempt of riches and deliverance from all worldly things. For if you are free from great wealth yet remain soft and careless in hearing, do not imagine your salvation secure.

The afflictions you now endure, whether sickness or trial of any kind, are not without purpose. Whether we be afflicted, it is for your comfort and salvation, working in the patient enduring of the same sufferings we also suffer. As you are partakers of the sufferings, so shall you be of the comfort. This is the very mark of those being saved, that they recognize the hand of God even in their troubles and do not grow confounded. The death of Christ was the salvation of the world, and your own small share of suffering, borne with thanksgiving, becomes a means of drawing nearer to Him.

Consider carefully the prayers you make. When we pray against our enemies, adding that unlawful prayer to so great a heap of sins, what hope of salvation can remain? Far better to weep for those who oppose you, for they know not the common salvation. It is a mark of those who perish not to recognize the things which lead to salvation, and we ought to wail over them more than for our own kin, because the word of the Cross seems foolishness to them.

Behold, now is the acceptable time; behold, now is the day of salvation. Do not put off the Gift. If it were possible to wash away the charges that lie against us without labor, why delay? Here is One who will deliver you, not to judge the world but to save it. But do not think that mere hearing in the church is enough. What is a man profited if he gain the whole world and lose his own soul? The deceitfulness of riches and the cares of this world choke the word, by these things Christ sets down all vices together. Flee from them, and press toward the salvation that is already nearer than when you first believed.

What a precious thing to bring before the Lord, your own salvation and that of your family, along with healing and protection. The deepest need any of us will ever have is to be right with God through Jesus Christ. There is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved. His name itself means “the Lord is salvation,” and He is the only provision God has made for our sin. If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. That is not something we earn by good deeds; it is a gift of grace, received by faith. God’s grace brings that salvation, and it has appeared to every one of us. Today, right now, is the day of salvation. Don’t let another day pass without making certain that you have truly surrendered to His lordship and trusted entirely in what He accomplished for you.

As you pray for healing, remember that the greatest miracle God has ever worked in any life is the forgiveness of sins. Physical healing, when it comes, whether instantly, gradually, or through the natural processes God designed, is a mercy, but it is not promised in every instance the way salvation is. Sometimes God allows a thorn to remain, as He did with Paul, to accomplish a deeper work. What I am saying is that even when healing does not happen in the way or timing we hope, we can still rest in the healing of our souls that comes through the cross. Jesus bore our griefs and carried our sorrows, and by His wounds we are healed in the fullest sense, spiritually, and often also physically. But we must never put physical healing on the same level as our eternal salvation. The latter is certain for all who truly belong to Him.

I want to speak gently about your family. Many who have come to Christ have experienced pain when those closest to them did not believe. Jesus Himself was rejected in His own household. Yet He promised that those who do the will of His Father are His brother and sister and mother. There is a bond within the family of God that runs deeper than natural blood ties. That does not mean we stop praying for our biological relatives, you are right to keep crying out for their salvation. Keep loving them, serving them, and living out the gospel before them. But find your true and unshakeable family among those who share your faith. They will strengthen you when earthly ties feel strained.

As for protection, entrust yourself and your loved ones to the One who holds all authority in heaven and on earth. Nothing can touch you outside of His will. He may not keep you from every hardship, but He will never leave you or forsake you. His grace is sufficient, and His power is made perfect in weakness.

Continue to work out your own salvation with deep reverence, not as though you must add to what Christ has done, but by living in the reality of what He has already given you. Let your life be a response of grateful obedience. And never neglect this great salvation. There is no escape for anyone who ignores it. Keep your eyes on Jesus, the originator and perfecter of your faith. He is able to save to the uttermost all who draw near to God through Him.
