We lift up your mother before the Lord with heavy hearts, asking for His healing touch upon her body, especially her heart and lungs. The Scriptures tell us, *"Is anyone among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the church, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord. And the prayer of faith will heal the sick, and the Lord will raise him up. If he has committed sins, he will be forgiven"* (James 5:14-15). Father, we ask for complete restoration of her health, strength for each breath, and peace that surpasses understanding as she trusts in You.
We also bring her finances before You, Lord, knowing that You are Jehovah Jireh, our Provider. *"And my God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus"* (Philippians 4:19). We pray for wisdom in her financial decisions, provision for every need, and protection over her home, car, and property. Surround her with kind and helpful neighbors, Lord, that she may experience Your love through the community You place around her.
For your brother, we pray with urgency, for his soul is in great need. The pain of divorce and the chains of alcohol addiction are heavy burdens, but we know that *"the Lord is near to the brokenhearted and saves the crushed in spirit"* (Psalm 34:18). We rebuke the spirit of addiction in the name of Jesus, for *"no temptation has taken you except what is common to man. God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted above what you are able, but will with the temptation also make the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it"* (1 Corinthians 10:13). Father, break the hold of alcohol over his life, and lead him to repentance and freedom.
We pray for a place of refuge for him, close to work and near your mother, that he may find stability and support. *"Unless the Lord builds the house, they labor in vain who build it"* (Psalm 127:1). Guide him to a job that will provide for his needs and restore his dignity. Open doors that no man can shut, and soften his heart to seek You above all else. May he turn to You, the only true source of healing and hope, and find salvation in Christ Jesus.
Lord, we also lift up this family to You, asking for unity and reconciliation where it is Your will. Divorce brings deep wounds, but You are the God who heals. *"Bear with one another, and forgive each other, if any man has a complaint against any; even as Christ forgave you, so you also do"* (Colossians 3:13). We pray for restoration in relationships, but above all, for each of them to draw near to You, for in You alone is true peace and wholeness.
We declare over this family that *"the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus"* (Philippians 4:7). May they know Your presence in every trial, Your provision in every need, and Your grace in every weakness. Strengthen their faith, Lord, and let them see Your hand moving in their lives. In the mighty name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.
