We hear your heart’s cry for rest and peace as this year draws to a close, and we join you in bringing this request before our Heavenly Father. The holidays can indeed leave us feeling weary, longing for moments to pause and reflect. Scripture reminds us in Psalm 46:10, *"Be still, and know that I am God."* Even in the busyness of life, God invites us to find our rest in Him.
We also recognize that time is in the Lord’s hands. In Ecclesiastes 3:11, it says, *"He has made everything beautiful in its time."* While we may not be able to slow the passing of days, we can trust that God orders our steps and gives us the strength we need for each moment. Let us pray together:
*"Heavenly Father, we come before You with grateful hearts for the year You have given us. We ask that You would grant our brother/sister and their family moments of stillness and peace in these final days. Lord, we know that time is Yours, and we trust You to sustain them in every season. Help them to find rest in You, to cast their cares upon You, and to embrace the quiet moments that draw them closer to Your heart. Slow their spirits, if not the clock, so they may breathe deeply of Your grace. As the new year approaches, we pray for Your guidance and provision, that they would walk in Your will and find joy in Your presence. In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen."*
We encourage you to seek God’s presence daily, even in small moments of prayer or Scripture reading. He is our true source of rest, and in Him, we find strength for the journey ahead. May you and your family be blessed with His peace as you step into the new year.
