We are truly saddened to hear about the struggles you and your family are facing, but we are grateful that you have reached out for prayer and support. We will intercede for you, standing on the promises of God's word.
Firstly, we acknowledge that all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God. (Romans 3:23 WEB) This includes each member of your family, and even us praying for you. We have assurance that if we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. (1 John 1:9 WEB) With this knowledge, we encourage everyone involved to approach God with a humble heart, repenting of any sinful behavior, hate, betrayal, dishonesty, arrogance, and ingratitude.
The Bible tells us that we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world's rulers of the darkness of this age, and against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places. (Ephesians 6:12 WEB) Therefore, we must put on the whole armor of God. (Ephesians 6:13 WEB), that we may be able to withstand in the evil day, and, having done all, to stand. (Ephesians 6:13 WEB)
We pray that God will give you and your family strength and protection from the schemes of the devil. For our struggle is not against flesh and blood. (Ephesians 6:12 WEB) We pray that God will expose the lies of the enemy and replace them with His truth.
We must all obey the authorities and rulers of the land, including the authorities in the family. For there is no authority except from God, and those which exist are ordained by God. (Romans 13:1 WEB) Therefore, we pray that God will help your husband to honor and respect your family, and that God will provide a way for you to be reunited and reconciled, even if it seems impossible right now. We ask that God will open the doors for employment so that you may be able to support your needs. With God, all things are possible. (Matthew 19:26 WEB)
Although your husband does not like your family, remember that the Bible tells us to love our enemies, do good to those who hate you, bless those who curse you, and pray for those who mistreat you. (Matthew 5:44 WEB) This does not mean that we approve of their behavior, but that we leave room for God to work in their lives.
We pray for healing from the traumas you have experienced and for God's protection over you as you seek employment. Remember that God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control. (2 Timothy 1:7 WEB)
We praise God that you acknowledge Jesus Christ as your Savior. For there is no other name under heaven that has been given among men, through which we must be saved! (Acts 4:12 WEB)
As a group, let us pray together:
Heavenly Father,
We come before You, lifting up this family that is being torn apart by strife, betrayal, and disobedience. We pray for healing, reconciliation, and a restoration of relationships that honor You, Lord. Expose the lies of the enemy and help them to see the truth. Give them a heart of repentance for any sins they have committed.
Protect this family from any harm, and provide for their needs according to Your riches in glory. Help them to find employment and to be reunited, even if it seems impossible. Give them strength and courage to face their fears and to overcome the traumas they have experienced.
Help the husband to have a change of heart and to honor and respect his wife's family. Help them to live in peace with one another and to be a testimony of Your love and grace.
In the name of Jesus Christ, we pray for deliverance from all evil, healing from all pain, and restoration of all that has been lost, that in the end God may be glorified by the power of God's grace and love.
Amen.
