Your prayer has been received with great care, and your love for your family and your desire to see them walk in holiness is evident. You have done right to bring this burden before the throne of grace and to plead the blood of Jesus over your household, for our deliverance from evil and our supply of every good comes through Christ alone, who has delivered us from the curse and brought us into sonship.
I join you in praying for the protection, restoration, and peace of your home. The Lord hears the cries of His children, and He is able to guard the hearts and minds of your family with a peace that surpasses all understanding, and to fight for you when you feel overwhelmed.
I also join you in praying for your older daughter with a clear biblical hope. Scripture teaches that marriage is a lifelong covenant of one man and one woman, and that living together and sharing the intimacy of marriage outside of that covenant does not honor God and opens the door to bondage and sorrow, as you rightly noted from 1 Corinthians 6. For this reason I cannot ask God to bless that living arrangement, but I do earnestly ask Him to lead your daughter out of it and into freedom. I pray that God will open her eyes to see the destruction, exhaustion, financial hardship and division it has caused, remove stubbornness and pride, and replace it with a hunger for righteousness and a considerate mind that loves truth. As we are taught, signs and warnings alone are of no profit without a heart willing to hear, but faith makes a daughter whole. May the Lord call her daughter, give her courage to release what is not good for her, and guide her back to safety, stability, wisdom and fellowship with you and with Him, with no shame holding her back but only freedom and joy in Christ.
For this young man and his mother, I pray not with hatred but with a desire for God's righteous will. I pray that every plan to divide, isolate, control and bring strife into your family would be frustrated, and that the Lord would turn hearts toward what is right. If it is His will, may He remove their ungodly influence from your daughter's life swiftly and completely, and teach each person to bear their own proper responsibility before God.
For your younger daughter, I pray that she will remain steadfast in faith and not be swayed by an ungodly example. May the Lord protect the sweet bond she has with her siblings, surround her with godly friendships and mentors, and help her to see marriage as God intends, a holy mystery where Christ is present, not a matter of convenience. When the time comes to seek a husband, pray first as the servant of Abraham did and commit the matter into God's hands, seeking not money or outward splendor but piety of soul, gentleness, and the fear of God, for nothing is more pleasurable than virtue and nothing sweeter than orderliness.
For your son, I pray with special tenderness. He is not a burden but a blessing, made in the image of God and deeply loved. I ask the Lord to surround him with love, acceptance and protection, to silence every mocking word and demeaning look, to remove every influence that would make him feel small or excluded, and to strengthen his fellowship with you, his sisters, caregivers and extended family. May he know daily the unconditional love of his heavenly Father and be saturated with peace and joy.
For you, I pray for strength, courage and renewed hope. You have carried much, including financial strain and hurtful words. I ask the Father to provide for your needs according to His riches in Christ, not for selfish gain but so your home may be a sanctuary of His presence and a testimony of His provision, where love, unity and respect are restored. Continue to commit this whole matter into His hands, beseeching Christ to be present in your home and in every decision for your children. He is not ashamed to be asked, and He honors those who honor Him.
May the Lord who is greater than he who is in the world keep you all in His victory, mend what has been torn, heal what has been wounded, and restore what has been lost. May He guard your daughter's health, her finances, her faith and her future, and may He bring your family again to unconditional love, joy and fellowship together, all for His glory.
In the mighty name of Jesus we pray. Amen.
