Family Protection

The cry of a mother for her children has reached the ears of God. I do not tell you to shorten your prayer, but I tell you to pray with faith, without bitterness, and with a heart ready to obey the Lord even in this trial.

The apostle Paul gives us a clear command: “Mark those who cause divisions and offenses contrary to the doctrine which you have learned, and avoid them.” This is not a license to hate, but a call to holy separation from corrupt influence. Your older daughter is entangled in a bond that the Scriptures call sin: she lives with a man outside the covenant of marriage, and his mother strengthens that rebellion. You are right to refuse to bless this union. You must not pretend it is good. But your weapon is not rage. Your weapon is prayer, fasting, and the quiet testimony of a holy life.

I see in your words a mother’s anguish, but also a danger. You have named many sins of this young man and his mother: hatred, jealousy, manipulation, control, mockery. Guard your heart. Do not let their evil become your evil by returning curses for curses. The Lord commands you to love your enemies and to bless those who curse you. That does not mean welcoming their sin into your home. It means desiring their repentance while you protect your family from their corruption. Pray for them, not against them.

Your older daughter is like a sheep caught in thorns. She ignores the red flags and treats a false union as marriage. The burden she carries for this man is not from God. But do not think you can drag her out by constant argument or by demanding obedience. Win her back by your steadfast love, by speaking truth with tears, by showing her that her true family does not demand her service to sin. Be a pattern to her of modesty and godliness. Let her see in you the peace that surpasses understanding.

Remember the woman who came to Jesus for her daughter, and he said, “Great is your faith; be it unto you even as you desire.” Your faith for your daughter can move the Lord, but it must be faith joined to humility and forgiveness. Do not put your trust in repeated formulas, but in the living Christ. Plead the blood of Jesus not as a charm, but as the ground of your confidence before the Father.

If your daughter will hear, remind her that a husband is not one who takes her money and her obedience, but one who loves her as Christ loves the church and who will lead her in righteousness. Seek not for her a wealthy or domineering man, but one who fears God. And first, she must leave this false shelter. Pray that God will give her eyes to see the truth, and pray that if this young man will not repent, God will remove his influence.

For your younger daughter, keep her close to the church. Let her see by your words and your life that living together outside marriage is not an acceptable path, but a false comfort that leads to bondage. For your son, God does not despise the weak. He is a blessing, not a burden. Guard him from mockery and exclusion, and ask God to restore the love between him and his sister.

You have asked for a hedge of protection. The strongest hedge is the presence of Christ in your home. Do not put your trust in signs or in the anointing of doors, but fill your house with prayer, Scripture, and peace. Do not let this conflict become the center of your home. Let Christ be the center. Where he dwells, division cannot stand.

I will not pray that God destroys this young man or his mother. I will pray that God frustrates every plan of the enemy to divide you, that he opens your older daughter’s eyes to the truth, that he brings her out of this bondage with a willing heart, and that he grants you wisdom and strength. I will pray that if these people will not repent, God will remove their influence and give your daughter godly sorrow that leads to life.

Father, you see this mother’s anguish. In the name of Jesus, protect her and her children from the schemes of the evil one. Break the hold of any false commitment and false family over the older daughter. Give her a hunger for righteousness, and lead her not into regret but into freedom. Guard the younger daughter from following an ungodly example. Restore the son’s joy and progress, and let him never feel like a burden. Heal what has been torn. Teach this mother to entrust her children to you, and to fight not with human weapons but with prayer, gentleness, and love. We ask this in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Savior. Amen.

The Lord is not indifferent to this burden. I join you in pleading the blood of Jesus over you and your children, asking that the peace which surpasses understanding would guard your hearts and your home. What you have laid before the Lord is heavy, but it is not beyond his reach.

Scripture records how God told a man to arise, leave the place of entanglement, and return to the land of his fathers and to his family, with the promise, I will be with you. That is my prayer for your older daughter. May the Lord speak that same word to her now. May she hear her true Father calling her back to the faith she was raised in, to the family that loves her, and to the church family she has left behind. She is not homeless. She is not without covering. She has been adopted into the family of God, and she does not need to earn acceptance from a household that dishonors him.

The young man is not her husband. Living together outside the covenant of marriage does not make a marriage, and it has opened the door to exactly what you have described: manipulation, financial exploitation, confusion, and spiritual bondage. I ask the Lord to break the false sense of obligation she carries. That burden is not hers to bear. May her eyes be opened to see that he is not her husband, not her father, not her provider, and not her god. May the Lord frustrate every plan to isolate her from you, her siblings, her church, and her purpose.

For your younger daughter, I pray she remains steady. May she never see living together outside marriage as an acceptable path, but may she desire a spouse who honors Christ and the lifelong covenant of one man and one woman. For your son, I ask for steady progress, restful nights, and a deep knowledge that he is loved, wanted, and created in God's image. The mockery of others does not determine his worth. May the Lord restore the tenderness between him and his sister, and may every caregiver and doctor act with wisdom and kindness.

I ask the Lord to surround you with a hedge of protection, to guard your travel, your workplaces, and your home. May every scheme to divide, isolate, corrupt, or discourage your family be brought to nothing. God is your near Redeemer, stronger than any human influence. Keep speaking the ways of God in your home, not with panic but with the steady peace of Christ. Fill your family conversations with Scripture and prayer, because the more you talk of the Lord together, the less room fear and division have.

Stand on the truth that greater is he who is in you than he who is in the world. No weapon formed against your family will prosper. The Lord fights for you. May your home become a beacon of his light, and may your daughter come back not with shame but with freedom, clarity, and a renewed hunger for righteousness. In Jesus' name, Amen.

We have been lifting up your family situation in prayer these past several days, standing in agreement with you as you plead the blood of Jesus Christ over yourself and your children. We have prayed fervently for the peace that surpasses all understanding to saturate your home, for no weapon formed against your family to prosper, and for the Lord to heal and restore your family’s unity, joy, fellowship, and relationships.

We have asked our Heavenly Father to place a hedge of protection around you and your children, shielding you from the hatred, jealousy, and divisive tactics of this young man and his mother. We have prayed for divine intervention to break the stubborn hold they have over your older daughter and to remove their toxic influence from her life. We have asked the Lord to open her eyes to the truth, to guide her back to biblical teachings, and to gently remove her from this ungodly relationship. We have also prayed for your younger daughter, that she would remain steadfast in her faith and protected from any divisive tactics aimed at her.

For your son, we have asked the Lord to shine His light in every dark space, to grant him peace, and to restore his progress and joy. We have prayed for wisdom for you, your family, caregivers, and doctors as you work together to bring out the best in him daily. We have declared that he is deeply loved by God and that he will always feel accepted, included, and protected.

We have also prayed for financial blessings to flow into your home, not for selfish gain, but so that your family may be a blessing to others and a testimony of God’s provision. We have asked the Lord to restore strained relationships, to mend what has been torn, and to heal what has been wounded. We have declared that every scheme of the enemy to divide, isolate, or destroy your family will fail, for the Lord fights for you.

If your request has been answered, we would love to hear a praise report so we can rejoice with you. If you do not yet see the manifestation of these prayers, we encourage you to post this request again and allow us to continue standing with you in faith. May God continue to bless you and your family as you seek Him through His Son, Jesus Christ. We pray all these things in Jesus’ mighty name. Amen.
