You have cried out to God with a mother’s heart, and rightly so, for our Lord Himself is moved by the tears and faith of parents. Consider that Canaanite woman who pursued Christ for her daughter’s deliverance, and how He tested her faith before granting the healing. He did not immediately speak, yet she persisted. And at last He said, “Great is your faith; be it unto you even as you will.” The power of a parent’s faith contributes greatly to the health of a child. Do not then let your prayers grow weary or your confidence waver, for the mercy of God often tarries that it may enlarge the vessel of our faith to receive a greater blessing.

Yet observe in the Scriptures how often God permits trials for the sake of a better resurrection. The Apostles were not delivered from sufferings but strengthened to overcome them. You have prayed for a removal of this young man and his mother, and indeed we must flee evil company. But attend also to what the Lord may be doing in your daughter’s soul through this bitter season. The enemy’s snares, though meant for destruction, can become the very instruments by which God breaks the hold of pride and independence. When the prodigal son came to himself, it was in the pigsty. So pray not only for her outward circumstances to change, but that this distress may awaken in her a true sorrow for sin and a longing for the Father’s house. The stubborn will is a hard wall, but the tears of a mother are like a battering ram; continue without ceasing.

You plead the blood of Christ, and well you should, for by it we are adopted as sons. Remind your own soul that you have received the Spirit of adoption, and therefore you cry to a Father who loves your daughter more than you do. He who did not spare His own Son will not forsake her. But the manner of His help is often not the swift removal of the trial, but the giving of grace to endure it and to emerge purged. The peace that surpasses understanding is not merely an absence of conflict but a gift that guards the heart while the storm still rages. Pray for that peace to fill you, for it will speak louder to your daughter than any anxious word. A calm and trusting spirit is a rebuke to rebellion.

Do not mistake: living together outside marriage is a grave sin, a mockery of the covenant that Christ blesses. You must not pretend it is acceptable, nor compromise for the sake of a false peace. But remember that the gentle shepherd does not beat the wandering sheep into the fold; he calls and carries it. Let your correction be mingled with mercy, your door always open, your love unwavering. Hate the sin, not the child. The woman with the issue of blood was healed by touching Christ’s garment in secret; sometimes the soul’s healing comes not through confrontation but through the patient, hidden prayer that touches the hem of His garment unseen.

As for the young man and his mother, commit them to God. Their schemes cannot outwit the Lord who frustrates the plans of the wicked. Pray that their malice be exposed and turned to your daughter’s true benefit. Ask not merely that they be removed, but that their influence be used by God to reveal the emptiness of sin. The father of that young man may yet be an instrument of soberness, but trust no human arm.

Your younger children, your son whom the world may scorn, are precious to Christ. Shield them not only from outward contagion but from the poison of resentment. Teach them to pray for their sister with compassion, not bitterness. A house divided cannot stand, so guard your own heart from the worm of anger. The cross of Christ is the remedy for division: there we see the innocent suffering for the guilty, and we learn to forgive.

Finally, remember that our citizenship is in heaven, and the resurrection awaits. Those who suffered in former times refused deliverance that they might obtain a better resurrection. Your ultimate hope is not a trouble-free family in this age, but the gathering of all saints around the throne of Christ. Keep your eyes there, and the chaos of the present will shrink in its proper light.

Continue in the full armor of God, not in passive resignation but in active faith. The Lord who began a good work will complete it. Let your home be a place of order and prayer, anointed not by some singular rite but by the daily offering of holy lives. The Son of righteousness will scatter the darkness, for the light shines even now in the shadows. Stand firm, and see the salvation of the Lord.

The ache in your words is plain, and the weight you carry for your family is heavy. When someone we love begins to drift into patterns that Scripture warns against, the confusion cuts deep. You’re watching your daughter defend a relationship that is reshaping her loyalties and dulling her hunger for the things of the Lord. It’s not just the practical harm to finances or health that grieves you; it’s the spiritual fog that has settled over her heart. She is treating a living arrangement outside of marriage as though it carries the weight of a covenant, and that distortion is bearing bitter fruit: isolation, manipulation, and a cold distance from the family who truly loves her.

The reality is that our human relationships will never find solid footing until our relationship with God is set right. The first and greatest commandment anchors everything else. When a person drifts from that primary love, from that intimate communion with the Lord where He is trusted and treasured above all else, the other loves in life begin to warp. They become disordered. Your daughter has misplaced her sense of obligation and identity. She has allowed a man and his mother to occupy a place of authority and influence that belongs to the Lord alone, and secondarily to the godly counsel of the family who raised her in the faith. She is, in a sense, trying to serve two masters, and the exhaustion you see in her is the proof.

Take heart that God is the great Restorer of that first love. He calls His people back, not with a heavy club of rules, but with the tender invitation to return to the place of family, to the promises once known. Think of how He kept drawing Jacob back to Bethel, back to the land of his father, even after seasons of deception and tangled relationships. The Lord has His eye on your daughter. He is the Hound of Heaven, able to frustrate every scheme that draws her away. The plots of the enemy, the divisive words, the spiritual manipulation you’ve rightly identified as witchcraft, these are real, but they are not all-powerful. The Lord laughs at the proud plans of men and women who set themselves against His purposes.

Your prayer for her gentle removal from this toxic bond is a prayer for a merciful awakening, not just for an exit. Ask the Lord to restore to her the simple joy of a loving relationship with Him, a relationship that is not about ritual or trying to earn human approval, but about being known and loved as His child. Pray that she would say in her spirit, “I will go back to my Father’s house where I belong.” When that foundational love is rekindled, the other relationships will begin to fall into their proper place. The blinders of false commitment will loosen, and the red flags she is ignoring will become glaringly obvious.

In the waiting, guard your own heart carefully. The enemy would love to wear you down with anxiety, to replace your steadfast faith with a frantic hypervigilance over every move this man and his mother make. You have declared the blood of Jesus over your home, and that is the only covering that holds. You’ve asked for a hedge of protection. Rest in that. The peace that surpasses understanding is not dependent on the storm stopping; it is the calm center given by the Holy Spirit while the waves still crash. Look to the Lord, not the waves. He alone is the author of peace, and your son’s recent peaceful night is a small, precious token of that.

Trust the Lord with the family bonds you long to see restored. The beautiful loyalty that Ruth showed to Naomi is a real picture of what family can be under God’s design, a bond not easily broken. But even that bond needed a kinsman-redeemer to step in and make things right. Your family’s ultimate Redeemer is Jesus Christ. He can mend what has been torn. He can rebuild the loving, kind relationship between your son and his sister. He can protect your younger daughter’s impressionable heart, never letting her see this painful chapter as a model to follow, but rather as a warning that strengthens her own resolve for a godly marriage.

Keep committing the journey to Him. Declare His promises over your home, anoint your doors with prayer, and then leave the results in His capable hands. The Lord fights for you, often silently, behind the scenes, while you simply hold your peace. The deliverance may look different than you imagine, and it may come on a different timeline, but He who began a good work in your family will be faithful to complete it. May the God of all peace saturate every room of your house and every corner of your heart today. He is at work.

We are so grateful to have been able to stand with you in prayer for your family’s protection and restoration. It brings us such joy to hear that Jesus faithfully answered your prayers and granted you a beautiful day with your older daughter—what a precious gift! We rejoice with you in this moment and praise God for His goodness.

As you continue to lift up your family, we stand in agreement with you for complete restoration—of unity, joy, fellowship, and relationships—sealed by the blood of Jesus Christ. We pray that the hedge of protection you asked for remains strong, shielding your home from division, manipulation, and every scheme of the enemy. May the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, guard each of your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus.

We join you in praying that your older daughter’s eyes would be opened to the truth, that her heart would hunger for righteousness, and that she would be gently but firmly led out of this toxic environment. May she rediscover the love and support of her family and the faith she was raised in. For your younger daughter, we pray she remains steadfast in her walk with the Lord, untouched by ungodly influences. And for your son, we ask that God’s light would shine brightly in his life, restoring his peace, joy, and the loving relationships he once had with his siblings.

Father, we ask that You would frustrate every plan of the enemy to divide, isolate, or harm this family. Let Your angels encamp around them, and let Your presence fill their home with Your peace, favor, and protection. We declare that no weapon formed against them shall prosper, for greater is He who is in them than he who is in the world.

If there are still areas where you need breakthrough, we invite you to share them with us again so we may continue to pray in agreement with you. And if God has moved in ways we haven’t yet seen, we would love to hear your praise report so we can celebrate His faithfulness together.

May the Lord bless you abundantly as you continue to seek Him and trust in His perfect will. We pray all these things in the mighty name of Jesus. Amen.
