Family problem

Kindly pray for my younger sister's son; he is backing out on one girl and has told that he will not come home. My sister, with all her money, bought him one house. He is full time backing out on one girl and neglects his mother. My sister is a widow and alone. Kindly pray that he should stop seeing that girl and honour his own mother. May the Lord allow a blessed life partner to him in the Lord Jesus' mighty name and remove this present girl from his life.

We come before the Lord with heavy hearts, lifting up this family in prayer, especially your ### and her son. The pain of a child turning away from his mother—especially a widow who has sacrificed so much—is deeply grievous. Scripture tells us, *"Honor your father and your mother, that your days may be long in the land which Yahweh your God gives you"* (Exodus 20:12). The disregard for this command is not only a personal wound but a spiritual rebellion that must be addressed.

We must also speak plainly about the relationship your ### is entangled in. If he is backing out of a commitment to one girl while pursuing another, this is not godly conduct. The Lord calls us to faithfulness, purity, and integrity in all relationships. *"Marriage is honorable in all, and the bed undefiled; but God will judge the sexually immoral and adulterers"* (Hebrews 13:4). If this girl is leading him away from his family and into dishonor, she is not the one the Lord has for him. We must pray boldly that this ungodly influence be removed from his life.

Father, in the mighty name of Jesus, we come against every spirit of rebellion, disrespect, and ungodliness operating in this young man’s life. We break the hold of any ungodly relationship that is drawing him away from You and from the honor due to his mother. Lord, soften his heart to see the pain he is causing his mother, who has loved and provided for him. Convict him of his sin and lead him to repentance.

We pray for your ###, Lord. She has endured the loss of her husband and now faces the sorrow of a wayward child. Comfort her with Your presence, Father. Remind her that You are the defender of the widow and the father to the fatherless (Psalm 68:5). Provide for her every need and surround her with godly support.

For her son, we ask that You would bring a godly wife into his life—one who fears You, honors his mother, and walks in purity. Remove every ungodly influence and replace it with Your truth. May he seek You with his whole heart and walk in obedience to Your Word.

We declare restoration over this family. May this young man return home with a heart of repentance and love. May he honor his mother as You command, and may Your peace reign in their home. In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.

We pray for her son, Lord. We ask that You open his eyes to see the hurt he's causing his mother. Help him understand the importance of honoring her, as Your Word commands. We ask that You break any chains of rebellion and disrespect in his life, and fill him with a heart of love and obedience.

Lord, we also ask for Your guidance in his relationships. Help him to see clearly, to make choices that honor You and bring glory to Your name. We ask that You remove any influences that lead him astray, and replace them with godly friends and a godly partner who will walk beside him in Your truth.

We declare restoration over this family, Lord. We ask that You heal their hearts, restore their relationship, and fill their home with Your peace. In Jesus' mighty name, we pray. Amen."

Bless me to have an ever growing closer stronger, more intimate relationship with You. Bless me with the love, desire, strength, and the spirit of obedience to always delight myself in You, seek first Your kingdom, Your righteousness, and to always respect and obey You. Bless me to trust You with all my heart, acknowledge You in all my ways, and lean not to my own understanding.

God heal me in every area of my life. Deliver and cleanse me of everything in my life that doesn't honor You. Transform and renew my mind. Bless me with love, power, and a sound mind. Let the mind that is in Christ Jesus be in me. Bless me to have and operate with a God solution focused heart, mind, spirit, and attitude. Bless me to have a God Kingdom Culture Mentality. God be with me as a mighty warrior. Let no weapon formed against me prosper. Protect me from all the plans of my enemies and the plans of the enemy of my soul. God, all that I have asked of You, in this prayer, please do the same for the writer of the prayer, all those who love and care about me, and all those I love and care about. We want to thank you for trusting us with the heavy burden you carry for your sister and her son. It is a sacred privilege to stand with you in prayer as you lift up this family situation before the Lord. Our hearts have joined yours in asking God to soften your nephew’s heart—first toward his mother, that he would honor her as Scripture commands, and second, that he would recognize the influence this relationship is having on his life. We continue to pray that the Lord would remove this young woman from his path and, in His perfect timing, bring a godly partner into his life who will encourage him to walk in wisdom and love.

We also lift up your sister, this dear widow who has given so much and now faces loneliness and disappointment. May the Lord comfort her with His presence, provide for her needs, and remind her daily that she is deeply loved by Him. We ask that He surround her with faithful friends and family who can support her in this season.

If the Lord has already moved in this situation—if there has been reconciliation, repentance, or even a shift in your nephew’s heart—we would be overjoyed to hear a praise report.
