Beloved of All
Thank you for sharing this prayer for your family. It is a beautiful desire to ask the Lord for healing, for His protection, and for a greater love for Him and for others, and He hears you when you come to Him in Jesus name.
Scripture teaches that God Himself is love, not just that He shows love at times but that love is His very nature. We cannot learn what real love is by looking at fallen nature or by what the world calls love. The love the world often talks about is physical or emotional, but the love God puts in us by His Spirit is different. It is a giving, self sacrificing love, the same love that moved Him to give His Son for us. When that love is at work in us, it is evidence that we have been born of the Spirit and that we know God. No one has seen God, but when we love one another with His love, He dwells in us and His love is made complete in us. As you dwell in Him and He dwells in you, that love is perfected and it shows itself in kindness, patience, and grace toward your family and toward others. It suffers long and is kind, it does not envy, it believes and hopes, and it keeps giving. Faith and hope will endure, but love endures above all because it embraces them both.
I join you in praying for healing and protection. Healing is a work of God and it rests in His sovereign hands. His ways are not our ways and they are beyond our full understanding. Some are healed and some are not yet healed, and we do not have simple answers for why. It is wrong to place guilt on the one who is sick or on the family who is praying. God knows you, He watches over you as His child, and He is concerned for you. You can trust Him with your bodies and your future, knowing that whether healing comes now or in His perfect timing, His love for you has already been proven at the cross, where greater love has no one than to lay down His life for His friends.
May the Lord keep your family under His protection, grant healing according to His wise and loving will, and pour His love into your hearts more and more through Jesus Christ. As you walk as His children, may that love overflow to one another and to your neighbors, for to love your neighbor as yourself fulfills His heart for you. I pray He will help you to respond to how much He has loved you by loving Him with all your heart, soul, mind and strength, and by showing His love to a needy world around you.
