Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

We thank you for sharing your heart with us and for the love you are showing to your nephew by taking custody and raising him. We join with you in prayer for both of you and we praise God for your faithful care, for this is close to the heart of our Father. As it is written, A father of the fatherless, and a defender of the widows, is God in his holy habitation. Psalm 68:5 and Pure religion and undefiled before our God and Father is this to visit the fatherless and widows in their affliction. James 1:27 What you are doing is a beautiful reflection of His love.

We understand how heavy this must be for a young boy to be without his parents around, and how much wisdom and patience it requires of you to guide him. We pray together for the Lord to be his comfort and his true Father, to heal any loneliness or hurt in his heart, and to give him a deep sense of being loved and secure in your home and in Christ.

We lift up your nephew before the throne of grace, asking our Heavenly Father to continue to bless his studies and give him diligence, understanding, and a desire to learn. We pray he will grow not only in knowledge but in wisdom and stature and in favor with God and men. We claim the promise, Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not depart from it. Proverbs 22:6 We pray you will be given grace to nurture him in the discipline and instruction of the Lord, as we are taught in Ephesians 6:4, with love that is patient and kind, not provoking him to anger but building him up.

We also pray for your relationship together, that the Lord would knit your hearts together in love, understanding, and mutual respect, that your home would be filled with peace, joy, and open communication. May the Lord give you extra strength, wisdom, and rest when you are weary, and remind you daily that He is with you. Do not be afraid, for I am with you. Do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness. Isaiah 41:10

We thank you for coming in the name of Jesus, for it is only through Him we have access to the Father, and we are grateful you closed your request in His name.

Let us pray together. Father in heaven, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ and lift up this dear guardian and this precious nephew to You. Lord, we ask You to wrap this young boy in Your loving arms, heal the ache of missing his parents, and let him know he is never alone for You are his Father. Fill his heart with peace and hope and help him to do well in school, giving him a focused mind, good teachers, and a love for learning. Lord, bless this home with unity, patience, and great joy together, help them to get along with grace and forgiveness, and let their bond grow stronger each day. Give our dear friend wisdom, energy, and encouragement for each day of parenting, and let Your peace which surpasses all understanding guard both of their hearts and thoughts in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:6-7 We ask this in the mighty and merciful name of Jesus, Amen.

Thank you for letting us pray with you about your nephew and the home you are providing for him. Caring for a child who is missing his parents carries a special weight, and we hear both your love for him and your desire for peace between you.

It makes sense that school and getting along at home feel connected. When a child feels secure at home, it often helps him settle into school, and when school is going well it can bring more ease at home. Your steady presence, even on hard days, is part of what helps him feel safe.

One simple practice that often helps in a season like this is a brief, predictable check in together each day, just a few minutes without distractions where he can share whatever is on his mind about school or home, and you can listen and encourage him. It also helps to stay in touch with his teacher so you both notice early how he is doing and can celebrate his effort together.

We are praying for you both.

Father, we lift this family to you in Jesus name. Give this nephew comfort in his loss, strength for school, and a growing sense of belonging and security. Give his guardian wisdom, patience and rest, and help them grow in understanding and kindness toward each other day by day. Guide their steps and keep them close to you. Amen.

We have received your request and have carried it before the throne of grace with sincere thankfulness for the love you show to this dear boy.

It is a holy and weighty charge which God has placed in your hands. Those who think that one detained at home by the care of a little family is doing nothing think the reverse of what is true. To keep a lamb from wandering and to feed that lamb in the name of Christ is work which needs the same power that raised Christ from the dead, and it is work which the Chief Shepherd Himself delights to honor. You stand as both guardian and teacher, putting yourself and this child to school with God alone, and praying as the Psalmist prayed, Teach me to do thy will, for thou art my God.

We rejoice to hear that he does well in school. Pray with us that he may not only learn the learning of this world, but that he may early know the Holy Scriptures which are able to make him wise unto salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus. Sow the field early with wheat, and ask the Lord to give him a teachable spirit and a heart to do the will of God. He is at that age when character is formed, and what is now taught in meekness and love may by the grace of God abide with him all his days.

We know it is hard for him to be without his parents, and hard for you to bear another's burden in addition to your own. Remember that the family of God is one whole family in heaven and earth, not broken nor divided, and that He who is the Father of that family has a special care for the fatherless. He puts the solitary in families and He will be your wisdom and strength as you seek to live together in peace. Where need is greatest love is most fervent, and we pray that your home may know that fervent love which bears all things and covers all things.

Be encouraged that prayer is certified of success. Our Lord Jesus has said, Ask and it shall be given you, seek and ye shall find, knock and it shall be opened unto you. Your seeking for this child, though you have no university learning for such a task, is heard by Him who as Man was heard of God. Continue to seek, to teach, to pray in private and in your family, and trust the Holy Spirit to work in you both to will and to do of His good pleasure.

We join you now in prayer.

O gracious Father, who hast revealed thyself as a Father to the fatherless, look in mercy upon this household. Bless this dear boy, keep him from harm and from sin, give him diligence in his studies and reverence for thy Word, and comfort his heart in his loneliness with the knowledge that in Christ there is a family which never fails. Bless his guardian who has taken him in love, give patience, wisdom and grace that they may dwell together in peace and grow in affection for one another. Teach them both to do thy will, and bring them by thy Spirit into living faith in Jesus Christ, in whom alone is salvation. For His sake we ask it. Amen.

Thank you for trusting us with this request and for the love and care you are showing your nephew. We are praying for both of you.

We ask God to comfort your nephew in the pain of not having his parents near, to guard his heart, and to give him strength and focus to continue doing well in school. We pray He will give you wisdom, patience and grace as you care for him, and that He will build a deep harmony between you, not only in words but in mind and in love, so that your home is marked by peace and understanding.

Scripture teaches us to grow in virtue step by step, guarding what we have gained and then adding more, and to trust God even when circumstances are hard, believing that He is able to do what seems impossible to us. We pray that faith will sustain you both, and that you will see God's faithfulness day by day.

Let us pray together. Father in heaven, we lift up this family to You through Jesus Christ, in whom alone we have salvation and every blessing. Watch over this young man, provide for his needs, help him to learn well and to know he is loved and secure. Comfort him in his loss and surround him with Your presence. Give his guardian strength, gentleness and wisdom, and help them to get along with kindness and forbearance. Draw them both closer to You and to one another, and establish their home in Your peace. In Jesus name we pray, amen.

Pray for my family. There are four of us: me, my mother, my aunt, and my niece. We never seem to understand each other; there is mostly just arguing and sulking (giving each other the silent treatment).
