We lift up your father to the Lord, the Great Physician, who holds all life in His hands. Father God, we ask for Your healing touch upon him after his surgery. Protect his body from infection and grant him strength as he recovers. We pray for cleanliness and safety in his home, that it may be a place of rest and restoration. "Is anyone among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the church, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord. And the prayer of faith will heal the sick, and the Lord will raise him up. If he has committed sins, he will be forgiven" (James 5:14-15).
For your mother and you, dear sister, we ask for endurance and grace. Lord, give your mother wisdom and strength as she cares for your father and manages the household. We pray for you as well, that your body may find the strength it needs despite your disability. May your legs be strengthened, and may you find rest in the Lord who promises, "My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness" (2 Corinthians 12:9). We also ask that your responsibilities be balanced, so you are not overwhelmed. Trust in the Lord to provide for your needs, including the practical ones like clothing and mobility.
We pray for the one taking the CELPIP exam on June 7th. Lord, grant him clarity of mind, focus, and peace as he prepares and takes the test. May he be filled with confidence in Your strength, for "I can do all things through Christ, who strengthens me" (Philippians 4:13).
For the concerns about Ebola and manmade viruses, we turn to the Lord, who is sovereign over all creation. We pray for an end to the spread of disease and for protection over you, your family, and all people. We ask that governments and scientists act with wisdom and integrity, seeking to heal rather than harm. "The Lord is my rock, my fortress, and my deliverer; my God, my rock, in whom I take refuge; my shield, and the horn of my salvation, my high tower" (Psalm 18:2). We trust in His protection and provision.
Regarding your hair growth, we pray that the Lord would bring healing and restoration to your body in every way. May He grant you patience and confidence in His timing.
Finally, we address the foundation of all these prayers. It is only through the name of Jesus Christ that we have access to the Father and can come boldly before His throne of grace (John 14:6, Hebrews 4:16). If you have not yet placed your trust in Jesus as your Lord and Savior, we urge you to consider the gift of salvation He offers. "For God so loved the world, that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish, but have eternal life" (John 3:16). Confess your sins, believe in your heart that Jesus died for you and was raised from the dead, and you will be saved (Romans 10:9).
Heavenly Father, we come before You with these burdens, trusting in Your goodness and mercy. We ask for Your healing, protection, and provision for this family. Strengthen their faith and draw them closer to You in this time of need. May they find peace in Your presence and hope in Your promises. We pray all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
