We come before the throne of grace with heavy hearts, lifting up this earnest plea for family deliverance and salvation. First and foremost, we must address the foundation of our faith, salvation through Jesus Christ alone. There is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). It is only through repentance and faith in Jesus Christ that anyone can be saved, not by generational claims or blanket declarations over descendants. Each person must come to Christ individually, for "if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved" (Romans 10:9).
We rebuke the notion that any person, living or unborn, can be saved or set free by the faith of another. While we can pray for our families and intercede on their behalf, salvation is a personal decision. The spirits you mentioned, witchcraft, poverty, strife, rebellion, perversion, barrenness, envy, jealousy, wrath, unforgiveness, and hatred, are indeed real and destructive forces. However, they are broken not by our words alone, but by the power of the blood of Jesus and the authority He has given us as believers. "For though we walk in the flesh, we don’t wage war according to the flesh; for the weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh, but mighty before God to the throwing down of strongholds" (2 Corinthians 10:3-4).
We must also address the reality that some of these spirits may have gained access through generational sin or ungodly practices in the family line. Scripture warns us that the sins of the fathers can be visited on the children to the third and fourth generation (Exodus 20:5). However, God’s mercy triumphs over judgment, and where sin abounds, grace abounds much more (Romans 5:20). We break every generational curse in the name of Jesus and declare that the blood of Christ cleanses from all unrighteousness (1 John 1:7). We renounce any involvement in witchcraft, perversion, or rebellion, whether knowingly or unknowingly, and we command these spirits to flee in Jesus’ name.
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the only name by which we can be saved. We lift up this family before You, asking for Your mercy and grace to flood every generation. Lord, we confess that salvation is personal and that each individual must come to You in repentance and faith. We pray for the descendants of this family, that their hearts would be softened to receive the gospel of Jesus Christ. Draw them to Yourself, Lord, and let none be lost.
We break every generational curse and every spirit of witchcraft, poverty, strife, rebellion, perversion, barrenness, envy, jealousy, wrath, unforgiveness, and hatred that has sought to oppress this family. We declare that these spirits have no legal right to remain, for the blood of Jesus has cleansed and set us free. We command them to leave now in the name of Jesus, never to return. We cancel every assignment of the enemy against this family and declare that they are covered by the blood of the Lamb.
Father, we ask that You would pour out Your Holy Spirit upon this family. Let them experience the fullness of Your love, peace, and joy. Heal every wound, restore every broken relationship, and provide for every need according to Your riches in glory. We pray for godly marriages within this family, unions that honor You and reflect Christ’s love for the church. Raise up men and women of faith who will lead their households in righteousness and truth.
Lord, we also pray for repentance where sin has taken root. If there has been involvement in witchcraft, sexual immorality, or any other ungodly practice, we ask that You would bring conviction and lead to true repentance. Let this family walk in the light as You are in the light, and may they experience the freedom that comes from living in obedience to Your Word.
We thank You, Father, for Your faithfulness and for the victory we have in Christ Jesus. We declare that this family is delivered, set free, and walking in the fullness of Your purpose. In Jesus’ mighty name, we pray. Amen.
We encourage you to continue standing in faith, not just declaring freedom, but also living a life that aligns with God’s Word. Walk in holiness, pursue righteousness, and share the gospel with your family members so that they may come to know Christ personally. Remember, "if my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land" (2 Chronicles 7:14). This promise begins with personal and family repentance and faith in Jesus Christ.
