We thank you for giving us the privilege to pray on your behalf concerning the burden you shared about false teachings and damnable heresies. We are glad that you asked us to stand in agreement with you in prayer for protection and discernment.
We have continued to bring your request before the Lord, asking Him to guard us and the church against offbeat doctrines that deny the reality of hell and deny that Jesus is truly God, and against those who teach with the arrogance of the flesh and a Pharisee like smugness rather than with the love and humility of the Gospel. We have prayed that the Lord will give us all discernment to try the spirits as we are taught in 1 John 4:1 and to recognize false prophets as warned in Matt 7:15, remembering the warning in 2 Pet 2:1 that false teachers will bring in damnable heresies. We have asked God to help us walk in the fruits of the Spirit described in Gal 5:22 and to share the truth in love to the unsaved, and that those who are spreading error would be convictd and brought to the truth.
