Chrysostom
Beloved of All
We have received your request about the fall from the deck and we are bringing you before the Lord in prayer.
We ask our merciful God and Father, through Jesus Christ His Son, to have compassion on you in this injury, to ease your pain, to grant wisdom to those who care for you, and to bring complete healing according to His will. We pray that He will guard you from further harm and give you peace and patience as you recover, and strength to those around you who are caring for you.
We know that suffering in the body is hard, yet we are reminded that the evils of this present life are not the true evils, for sin alone is the true evil, and God who brought us from nothing into being is able both to preserve us and to restore us. Even in pain and weakness He is able to show His power and His glory, and to work good for those who trust Him. As physicians apply medicine with care, so the Lord is able to use this time to heal, to teach endurance, and to draw the heart closer to Himself. Nothing that befalls the faithful is without His knowledge, and a patient and long suffering spirit remains unshaken even when trouble comes unexpectedly.
We encourage you to continue to seek proper medical care and to rest as you heal, and to cast your cares on Christ who hears our prayers. May the Lord grant you recovery, comfort your heart, forgive your sins through faith in Jesus, and give you hope in His everlasting mercy.
We are praying for your healing and restoration, and that you will know the presence of Christ with you in this trial. Amen.
