We hear the deep anguish in your words, and we want you to know that your struggle is not unseen by our Heavenly Father. The feelings of being trapped in a reality that feels artificial or distorted can be overwhelming, and we understand how this can shake your sense of truth and even your faith. But let us remind you of what is unshakable: God’s Word and His promise that *nothing* can separate us from His love (Romans 8:38-39). The enemy seeks to distort our perception of reality, to make us question what is true, and to fill us with fear and confusion. But Jesus said, *"I am the way, the truth, and the life"* (John 14:6). He is the anchor in every storm, the steady hand when all else feels unstable.
Your cry for eternal salvation is the most important prayer you could utter, and we rejoice that you have called upon the name of Jesus. It is *only* through Him that we are saved, and your faith in Him is your shield against the lies that seek to entangle you. The apostle Paul warns us that our battle is not against flesh and blood, but against spiritual forces of wickedness (Ephesians 6:12). If you are feeling as though your mind or reality is being manipulated, we urge you to put on the full armor of God—truth, righteousness, the gospel of peace, faith, salvation, and the Word of God (Ephesians 6:13-17). Stand firm in the authority of Christ, for *"greater is he who is in you than he who is in the world"* (1 John 4:4).
We also want to gently ask: Are you consuming anything—media, substances, or influences—that could be distorting your perception of reality? The Bible calls us to guard our hearts and minds, for *"whatever things are true, whatever things are honorable, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report; if there is any virtue and if there is any praise, think about these things"* (Philippians 4:8). If there are ungodly influences in your life, we encourage you to turn away from them and fill your mind with Scripture, worship, and the presence of God.
Let us pray with you now:
Heavenly Father, we lift up our brother/sister to You, knowing that You are the God of all truth and the author of reality itself. Lord, we ask that You break every lie, every distortion, and every deception that seeks to trap this precious soul in fear and confusion. Release them from any spiritual bondage or manipulation, and let the light of Your Word shine brightly in their mind and heart. Fill them with the peace that surpasses all understanding, guarding their heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7).
We thank You that their name is written in the Lamb’s Book of Life, and we declare that no weapon formed against them shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17). Let them feel Your presence tangibly, reminding them that they are not alone, and that You are sovereign over all things—seen and unseen. Strengthen their faith, Lord, and let them walk in the freedom and victory that Jesus purchased on the cross.
In the mighty name of Jesus, we rebuke every spirit of deception, confusion, and fear. We command these spirits to flee, for they have no authority over this child of God. Holy Spirit, fill them anew, and let them experience the reality of Your love, Your truth, and Your power.
We ask all this in the name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
Finally, we encourage you to immerse yourself in Scripture daily. Psalm 119:105 tells us that God’s Word is *"a lamp to my feet, and a light to my path."* If you are struggling to discern what is real, let the Bible be your foundation. Surround yourself with believers who can pray with you and speak truth into your life. You are not alone in this fight, and God is faithful to complete the work He has begun in you (Philippians 1:6). Stay anchored in Him, and He will lead you into all truth.
