Disciple of Prayer
I'm really not sure about my faith right now... It seems that anytime I ever pray about something and put my faith in God, everything gets worse. For two years I've prayed about being able to spend my life with the woman I love. She's a great Christian and her and I get along so well, I've never had a connection like this with anyone in my entire life. I prayed and prayed and prayed 2 to 3 times a day... And she just told me that she doesn't think she feels the same way. I feel so beat down and depressed right now, I don't know what to do. I love her and praying about it just seemed to make it worse. I don't know where my faith is right now. I'm in such a depressed state of mind right now...

Thank you, I really need some help right now, not only with my faith but where to go with the woman I love from here.

Seek me first my kingdom and my righteousness and all these things shall be added unto you...i prayed for this. In Jesus Name. Amen. -|-

Yes, there are several verses in the Bible that can offer comfort and encouragement during difficult times. Here are a few you might find helpful:

1. **Psalm 23:1-6** - "The Lord is my shepherd, I lack nothing. He makes me lie down in green pastures, he leads me beside quiet waters, he refreshes my soul. He guides me along the right paths for his name’s sake. Even though I walk through the darkest valley, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me. You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies. You anoint my head with oil; my cup overflows. Surely your goodness and love will follow me all the days of my life, and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever."

2. **Philippians 4:6-7** - "Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus."

3. **Isaiah 41:10** - "So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand."

4. **2 Corinthians 12:9-10** - "But he said to me, 'My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.' Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me. That is why, for Christ’s sake, I delight in weaknesses, in insults, in hardships, in persecutions, in difficulties. For when I am weak, then I am strong."

5. **Matthew 11:28-30** - "Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light."

These verses emphasize God's presence, strength, and comfort in times of need.

praying does not make things worse, you have the wrong mentality. Praying is not asking the Lord for a wish request. It is not the Lord's obligation to "grant" our prayers. Praying is talking to God... yes it's okay to express your needs to The Lord, he knows your needs before you even ask, he also knows your wants. A lot of the times the things we WANT are not really what we NEED. Pray for his will to be done, to unite you with this woman if she is meant for you, pray without ceasing and believe that the Lord has plans for you Jeremiah 29:11. Pray for him to let you find someone else if she's not the one for you, pray for him to get her out of your heart and mind if she is not the indicated person for you. Beating yourself down because of this won't change the situation. You have to have faith and hope that everything will be okay and everything happens for a reason and there's better to come. Get yourself out of this hole you're digging yourself in, it is not attractive. Live life, love your life and the right person will see how you live and how you love life and she will want to be a part of that. Please don't doubt God, he is a God of miracles. You just need to believe. I hope you realize that.

I too am going thru the same thing. I have prayed for the past ### months for the Lord to bless my relationship. Thursday night we broke up, and I too have been suffering depressing and emptiness, and was feeling that the Lord had not answered my prayer, however I have not given up on my faith thought. I do believe that the Lord will answer my prayer, but in His time and His will. I am praying for the strength and comfort to get through this difficult time. I pray that the Lord will also give you the comfort, courage, and strength to stay strong and wait for God's will. In Jesus name I pray this. Amen.

I have been a Christian for many years but I am going through a tough patch at the moment. I feel quite disconnected from God and definitely haven't been praying as much. Some bad stuff (my son was abused) has happened in the last couple of years and it's made me feel rejected by God. I feel...

I posted a month or so back regarding a thyroid ultrasound. It was pushed back to ###. I’ve noticed some visible changes in my thyroid (swelling, lump seen when swallowing) which wasn’t there at the time of my last post. I’ll be honest, I haven’t been able to pray for a while and I don’t know...

Hello please pray for me and my wife to have bolder faith. Also I've been hearing voices and they say things like they win people amongst other things. Now I've looked it up and I was told it's Satan. Please rebuke it from me and pray to God that he guards my mind and heart. Thank you love you
