Your heartfelt prayer for your elderly loved ones and for your own spiritual growth is encouraging and shows a sincere desire to honor the Lord and to walk in His ways.
It is good that you want to honor your parents, for this is right and carries a promise that it will go well with you. Scripture teaches that honoring father and mother is foundational to the family, and when that structure is honored, it strengthens the whole of life. Part of that honor is learning to show love at home and to care for parents and grandparents in their later years, providing for their needs as you are able. That kind of care is good and acceptable before God. You are right to ask for grace to do this faithfully.
You also ask for faith, for renewed minds, and for spiritual food that endures. Faith does come by hearing the Word of God, and God delights in those who diligently seek Him, for without faith it is impossible to please Him. As you ask for eyes to be opened to understand the Scriptures, for a hunger for the pure milk of the Word, and for growth from milk to solid food, you are asking according to His will. God wants the Word of Christ to dwell richly in you, to transform you by the renewing of your mind so that you may know His will, to give you the mind of Christ, and to make you not only hearers but doers of the Word. Continue to abide in Jesus and let His words abide in you, and He will bear fruit in you, including love for Him and for others and the fruit of the Spirit.
You pray for health and prosperity even as the soul prospers, and you quote the words from the third letter of John. It is helpful to understand that those words were a personal greeting from John to his beloved friend Gaius, much as we might write hoping a letter finds someone in good health. It is a beautiful and loving wish, but it is not given as a universal promise that God guarantees perfect health and prosperity to every believer. At the same time it does point to something true and important. There is a real connection between the health of the soul and the health of the body, and attitudes of the heart can affect the body. God does care about your physical well being and is interested in how you steward your body, including how you eat and live and keep yourself clean, because these things affect health. He has provided all things that pertain to life and godliness.
You also pray earnestly for immediate healing and deliverance from evil, sickness, and harm. It is right to pray for healing, for the Lord is able to heal, and Scripture shows that Jesus bore our sicknesses and infirmities and went about healing every kind of disease. He healed in many different ways, sometimes with a word, sometimes with a touch, sometimes instantly and once gradually, and He did not follow a single pattern. Healing, when it comes, is from God, whether it comes instantly or through the natural processes of healing that God Himself created in the body.
Yet we are not taught to presume that God wills instant healing in every case. The apostle Paul prayed three times for his thorn in the flesh to be removed and the Lord did not remove it but gave grace to endure it. Timothy, a close companion of Paul, had frequent ailments, and Paul gave him practical counsel for his health rather than a promise of immediate healing. In cases where healing does not come, it is not necessarily a lack of faith or hidden sin, but may be part of God's larger purpose that we do not fully understand. So we should pray with confidence for healing, rebuke sickness and ask for protection from the evil one, and also trust the Lord's wisdom and timing, asking Him to keep you from evil even as you remain in the world and to sanctify you through the truth of His Word.
May the Lord grant you and your loved ones growth in the grace and knowledge of Jesus Christ, establish you in the basic truths of the faith and bring you on to maturity, strengthen you in inner being so that Christ dwells in your hearts through faith and you are rooted in love, and cause you to retain His Word and walk in it. May He give you daily fresh insight, keep peace within your walls, and satisfy your years with good things. May He cause His Word to spread and be honored through you as you continue in it and help others to follow Him.
We join you in asking the Father, in the name of Jesus, to provide what you need for life and godliness, to forgive and heal according to His mercy and will, to guard you from the evil one, and to bless you and keep you and give you peace.
