We join you in prayer for the healing and restoration of your eyesight following retina surgery and we thank you for asking in the name of Jesus, for it is through Him we have confidence to approach the throne of grace.
We are reminded of the goodness of our God who cares for every part of us, including our eyes. Psalm 103:2-3 says, Bless Yahweh, my soul, and don't forget all his benefits, who forgives all your sins, who heals all your diseases. And Psalm 146:8 tells us that Yahweh opens the eyes of the blind. We take comfort also in the promise of Jeremiah 30:17, But I will restore health to you, and I will heal you of your wounds, says Yahweh, and in Exodus 15:26 where He declares, I am Yahweh who heals you.
We pray together now for you.
Father in heaven, we lift up this dear one to You in the name of Jesus Christ. You formed the eye and You see all affliction. We ask for Your healing hand upon this retina and upon all the delicate tissues of the eye. We pray for complete healing, for restored sight, for clarity and strength to return, and for protection against infection, detachment, swelling, or any complication. Guide the hands and wisdom of the doctors and those providing follow up care, and grant patience and peace during the recovery process. Lord, calm any fear or anxiety and let Your presence bring rest. We pray that faith would be strengthened through this trial, and that You would be glorified in this healing, according to Your perfect will. We ask this in the mighty and merciful name of Jesus, amen.
We encourage you to continue to follow the instructions of your surgeon and to rest as directed, trusting that the Lord often works through the skill He has given to medical professionals while remaining the ultimate source of all healing. Keep bringing every concern to Him in prayer. Matthew 9:29 reminds us, According to your faith be it done to you. Keep your eyes, both physical and spiritual, fixed on Jesus, trusting in His love and His timing for your full recovery. We are standing with you and believing God for restored health and clear vision.
