Thank you for letting us pray with you for the healing of your eyes after retina surgery. We have brought your need before the Lord and ask Him in Jesus name to touch you and restore your sight and health.

We believe God still heals today. Scripture shows us that Jesus healed in many different ways. Sometimes He healed instantly with a word from a distance, sometimes by touching, sometimes without touching at all. Once He healed a blind man gradually, in stages, and that is the only gradual healing recorded in His ministry. This reminds us that the Lord is not confined to one pattern. He works as He wills, and every true healing is from Him.

Part of His healing is the process He Himself placed within our bodies. The slow and steady mending that follows surgery is not less divine because it happens through natural means. He is the one who created our bodies and ordained the way they repair, so we thank Him for skilled care and we also ask Him to guide and prosper that natural restoration for your retina and vision. He also brings healing to the mind and heart, calming fear and easing the strain that comes with waiting and uncertainty, and we pray He will do that for you as well.

The prophet Isaiah said He bore our sicknesses and infirmities, and Matthew tells us Jesus fulfilled that when He healed the sick among the people. He went about teaching and preaching and healing every kind of sickness and disease, showing His compassion and His power over our physical needs and our spiritual needs. When He broke bread He said this is my body broken for you, and we remember that His suffering was for our whole need.

At the same time there is much about healing we do not fully understand. We do not know why some receive an immediate touch and others walk through a longer process, and why some are not healed in this life as we hope. The apostle Paul prayed three times for his thorn in the flesh to be removed, and the Lord answered differently than he asked. It is wrong to tell someone that sickness remains because of hidden sin or because faith was not strong enough. That adds a burden God never intended. We can trust His wisdom and love even when we do not understand His ways, knowing our culture often expects quick material answers and struggles to rest in His sovereign care.

God is not about show or spectacle. His healing comes from genuine compassion and power, not from excitement worked up by people. We simply come to Him in humble faith, like those who reached out to touch even the hem of His garment and found that reaching out became the moment they released their trust in Him. We encourage you to keep placing your trust in Christ in that same simple way, day by day.

So we pray for you now, that the Lord will lay His hand upon your eyes, that He will bless the work that has been done, reduce inflammation and swelling, reattach and strengthen what needs to be strengthened, and restore clear sight according to His mercy. We pray He will give wisdom to your doctors, peace to your heart as you wait, and strength to your faith. May He guard you from discouragement and fill you with the assurance that you are loved and held by Him.

We will continue to pray with you as you recover. May the Lord be near to you and may you know His presence and comfort in the days ahead.
